I can't remember where I read it, but Jagex said they didn't announce it because it no longer mattered. Back when it was like, 10,000 people it actually made an impact. But 200,000 just doesn't seem like a lot when you look at it.

That's basically the summary of it.

I use RSDemon and it stores your highscore places as well as other things... Every so often when I update my scores i gain loads of fishing, wc and mining places. I also gain att/str/def places showing wither autoers/'farmers'/real world traders are getting banned.

Using autoing programs is nothing to be proud of, I am pretty sure that is what RSDemon is.

It is in the multi-millions. I'd say 6million autoers out there.

Gj jagex, we may hear about it tomorrow. =p

Very intelligent guess, considering there are only usually about 200k players on at a time

There've always been a lot of different highscore glitches(I remember when zezima dissapeared for a few hours and people flamed jagex thinking they banned him). If you consider that nearly 200k autoers were banned just in fishing, one of many skills, consider how many others they would have banned. Millions of autoers, and even though the autoer population is big and growing, it has yet to reach the multi-millions.

i believe there are about 1.2million members now, seeing as how the latest growth rate of members is large and the 1 million members announcement was quite a while ago.

Go Go Go, Jagex, remove all the autoers, OWN all the bots

p.s. my fishing rank moved up from 500k => 380k. :D

Thats what i was loking for, people noticing a mass rank increase in the fishing stat.

So they must be doing some nice banning, probly over time.

Maybe you should actually be completely sure what a program is before you start accusing someone of autoing. RSDemon is not an autoing program.

On topic now: A gain of a few thousand woodcutting ranks is always a good thing. The other other way I would gain ranks in that skill would be if a new quest required higher woodcutting than I already have. :D

There are about 7 million players, 1 million being paying members, are you saying nearly all f2p are autoers?

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

Both tasks were achieved, and the pay-to-play version of RuneScape was released on 27 February 2002, gaining 5,000 subscriptions in the first week making RuneScape one of the largest Java pay to play games in the world. Currently, RuneScape has over 9,000,000 free players and over 1,000,000 pay-to-play subscribers as of 4 May 2007.

I guess about 50% of all accounts that have been made during the years are only made to break rules (autoÃÆÃâÃâïng, hacking, trying or it is actually possible to get a ban, ...), 95% of those rulebreaking accounts are f2p. *I just guess, I'm absolutely not sure*. And yes, I think for every p2p autoÃÆÃâÃâër there are about 20 f2p autoÃÆÃâÃâërs. +-

I hope it is a massban and if it is I hope they will also soon do it with woodcutting ;)

Well if we're really gonna play the wikipedia game, then I'm ball!

RuneScape is a Java-based MMORPG operated by Jagex Ltd. With over nine million active free accounts[1] and more than one million paid member accounts,[2] RuneScape is rated among the most popular online games in the world.[3] More than five million unique players access their accounts to play RuneScape at least once per month.

Let's bare in mind many people have two accounts, I'd say about 40% of Rs fits into this catagory. So that raises the bar to 7 million honest accounts. Which means at the VERY most, there are only 3 million macro accounts, not 6 million...

There are 2 RSDemon's:

1) An innocent toolkit like swiftswitch

2) A botting program used by 99% of those autoers. Written by a chinese guy.
