Well, Since I started playing runescape I have seen to release of the slayer skill, the farming skill, the construction skill and the newest Hunter skill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now then, we all know a new skill must be coming out sooner or later, aye? Well...hes my question. On the stats area in the rs screen. There is NO more ROOM to put yet another skill box thingy...Since the total level is there. Now unless they move the totoal level somewhere else (which imo is quite stupid) they will need to make the rs screen bigger. Currently imo its WAY to small. When I'm playing RuneScape the screen is surrounded by this big area of black...

theyd probably make it bigger, but they will also have to make moreof those button thingys. or they can make a 2nd page for the skills which would be propably fairly easy.

There's been no room for more before, in plenty of other interfaces too, they always manage to shuffle things around to make it fit. ;)

If they change the numbers from 99/99 to 99|99, there would be enough room for about 8 more skills.

The "Total Level"-box has been changed multiple times.

I think the last thing on Jagex's mind when they are making a new skill is how the interface is going to look!

Yes, but that would then make the interface look so much more bunched up and ugly. Besides that. If they make the screen its self a few pixels larger we might even end up with a bigger inventory :).

Jagex can squish the icons if need be.

They might make it float when you hover like they have with magic now or have it combined with skill xp or something

Anyways Jagex would probably add the skill total with a scroll bar or squeeze the skills to make it fit. Knowing them they would probably put it off for a long time which I have no problem (longer the better), as for now they will add quest and drops\monsters.

I don't think they'll make the inventory with more spaces. What I would love to see is a complete rework/makeover of the interface.

too small? what about people who have smaller screens? its already the whole of a FireFox / Ie window with favorites minimized and on 1024 X 768 .

 

 

 

Making it bigger isnt the option. Just make the icons a little smaller.

Not everyone uses massive 2000 X 3000 screens you know :notalk:

 

 

 

A make over and new color shemes and layouts would be good

 

 

 

EDIT: er, actualy. your right, they SHOULD make the whole screen bigger :oops:

They will probably shrink the skill blocks to make room. Like they did before I believe

they could just put the "99/99" or what ever level and status you are alongside your skill Exp and Exp to next level and just leave the icon, would save a hell of alot of room and allow to have at least double (probably more) the current skills without altering the size of the whole interface.

The GUI is the last thing you have to worry about dude :? It isn't hard to just make the menu larger, It would help a lot of other windows too.

do you have a 5 inch screen or something?

i think they will keep coming up with skills until they get to sleeping skill or something. (you can now use a rune pillow!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

they will probably do like with the prayer screen and make the skill boxes smaller, or move the total level somewhere else.

I doubt there will be many more skills they will make.. i think they will update the older skills.. like instead of maxx being 99 its like 125? 150? etc.... or like instead of there being one range level there will be one for bow and arrows and other for cross bows....

meh, they alway compress the other skills

Why not just make 1 page for combat related skills and 1 for other skills? Why not just let Jagex do what they did with the release of the achievement diaries? There could be a little clickable button to switch between the different skill pages.

I would love them to make the screen a bigger size. I'm running 1280 x 1024 on a 19" monitor - which i reckon is pretty standard set up these days - and the app looks ridiculously small. It can't be that hard to make everything a bit bigger and enlarge the screen can it? :/

Scroll bar, new level takes place of the total level, total level moves down in the scroll bar and takes up all 3 spaces but can be compressed in case of yet another skill.
