trapical, I think it's [Edit] 767 pages long, so it'c closing in on 800. The url might say "794", but it seems to skip a number or two fairly often between pages (possibly from fixing errors on pages). It feels kind of short, 'cause unlike webcomics like Giant in the Playground's "Order of the Stick" ( http://www.giantitp.com , awesome webcomic based off of and mocking rpg games and Dungeons and Dragons :P . 481 pages currently), the pages read pretty fast, so the comic goes fast. Still awesome, especially with daily updates :) .

Well I didn't mean you would dress like a guy, but I would think you would dress more modestly. I think most guys permanently stuck in a girls body would at first feel a little uncomfortable walking around in a miniskirt and tube top, if for no other reason than the fact that this would draw the attention of all the guys around you. But who knows, maybe you would want to do so in order to get used to it, after all it is you life from then on out. This is totally uncharted territory by the way, even my pseudo-survey doesn't have any data on how people would act in a permanent switch. :-s

Wow, misfile is actually pretty damn good. I cant read much now because im in a shared internet room with loads of other people... and you get some pretty weird looks off people when you read that... Still, when i get home in a couple of days i am SO reading all of that.

Yes, I finished Misfile lol. Way to doom me to spending about 5 hours of my life reading that almost straight through :XD: . But it was worth it.

 

 

 

I think your comic caused more of a sensation than your question : And since I haven't answered it yet, I would do it, but like most people said I don't think I'd like it permanent. Be way to weird to be stuck forever in a girl's body while retaining a guy's mind. As the comic portrays so well.

Wow, I never thought so many people would actually read the entire comic, thats cool though. I indeed made the mistake of stumbling across it in my final week of studying for the MCAT (huge science test I'm taking on the 20th). First off, it cost me a good 5 or 6 hours to read through the entire thing, but then for the next day and a half while I was trying to study my mind kept wandering back to its storyline. Gah, it incurred the worst ADD I have ever had. That's actually what spurred me to make this topic, I hoped writing a brief synopsis about it in addition to finally posting my survey's findings would help clear it all out of my head. But anyway, I'm glad you guys enjoyed it :

Tbfgraphx14, they're reading a webcomic I mentioned, Misfile. It's actually the source of that picture I put at the beginning of this thread. The basic plot is a guy wakes up one day and discovers he is now a girl. The storyline is surprisingly addicting

If anyone is interested, the other web comic I mentioned that is pretty similar to Misfile is found here. Like I said before, its storyline isn't as solid as Misfile but it has a lot more humor.

ROFL :XD: can relate to that. Supposed to be reading over biology/math notes and end up playing 2 hours of guitar heros, half an hour of forum posting, phone calls, text messaging, checking e-mail, distracted by MSN, cleaning duties, shower, dress etc and even though set the alarm for 8am find myself finally sitting down to study at 6pm at night.... :-#

Actually, if you read further into it aspect of Ash's life are actually much better as a female, especially his relations with family (won't go into it for people who haven't read it). I really don't see where you're drawing that conclusion from, unless you're sayin' "permanently being turned into a girl stinks", and not that just being one does.

 

 

 

God, I think I'm feeling a need to go read through it again and outline it ('cause I can't seem to be able to remember the proper sequence of events in the storyline). That, and I'm gunna mark all the pages when Em and Ash have their lil' moments :lol: .

To try and stay On Topic... how would you guys (or girls) react if you were forced to change your gender permanently (by accident or otherwise. Everyone around you would think that you had always been a girl/guy, but you would still retain the same state of mind, just with different hormonal balances, like in Ash's case)? Would you try and keep your identity as your first known gender, or do you think you'd eventually cave in and try fully living life as the other gender?

Well, I had to permanently be a girl for the rest of my life, I think I'd keep my same personality, but I'd try to act like a girl (I'd get used to it, so I'd eventually get a boyfriend and everything...), although I think I'd still feel disgusted by those "shopping sprees".

Seriously, I would try and retain my identity, it would be wayyyy to strange to try to adapt to be attracted to the same sex. But the only other option is electing to become gay (to the eyes of the public), and with such discrimination out there that would be torture, knowing that you're really not on top of it.
