Need some techno advise

Led-Zeppelin

Recommended Posts

Hey, I don't listen to very much techno at all, have a few Chemical Brother albums, and listen to all the well known songs when I go into town.

I am after artists that have a tendancy to be very bassy as it will be for in my car, if you could list artists with good album names, would be alot of help, I'd like to get alot of the well known ones for know, rather then the underground stuff.

Cheers.

Check out the Hard Dance Mania albums.

Edit: I forgot, check also out - Airbase.

Je suis juste un cas désespérant

Et comme personne ne viendra me réclamer

Je terminerai comme un objet retrouvé

Juno Reactor - they did some of the stuff for the matrix i think.

Depeche Mode - electro pop, with some techno aspects.

Liquid Tension Experiment = techno progressive rock, almost..

Infected Mushrooms - pure techno/rave

Aphex Twin - :anxious: LSD induced music...

Trabant - techno indeed.

Dieselboy - industrial techno

I'm looking for Techno advice as well. Actually I really don't know anything about it, so I just classify all the "Sub-genres" as Techno, but if anyone can suggest some sweet songs / artist that'd be awesome. Right now I only have like 5 songs, but my favorites are Sandstorm and Prodigy - Smack My Bi--h up.

This summers has brought quite a few popular Electro bands. Check out Digitalism (album called Ideallism), Justice (album title is a symbol of a Cross) and Simian Mobile Disco (Attack Decay Sustain Release). It's not techo, but it's good music that fits into the 'dance' genre. It would be good trough your stereo as well (not all tracks though).

Errrm, if you're looking for popular but good stuff here's some albums you might like...

Pendulum/Aphrodite/Concord Dawn/Prodigy all have albums for Drum N Bass type stuff. That'll tear your speakers to shreds.

Aphex Twin and Hybrid sound phat through huge systems. Try stuff like Squarepusher, Ceephax if you want some random choppy IDM 8-)

Of course, the best bet for you would be a few compilation albums, see what you like kinda thing. That'll broaden your mind a bit and you'll start finding artists you like in the genre.
