I was going to make the same topic and post some pictures, it's going on right now, and I'm in NZ. Started at 8.30pm, started going red from 9.30, and fully red at 10pm. Finishes at 1am.

If you miss this one, will have to wait till 2010.

I thought it was kind've anticlimactic, lol  Didn't really have the red glow I was expecting, just kind've a red tinge :P Still looked nice though. :)

Yeah it looked awesome, pity our weather wasn't perfect though. Was cloudy and raining, had alot of clear moments inbetween though. Got to see it at full eclipse which was awesome.

Just came back from the beach, went down with a few friends and saw it, it was very cool, not something that you see very often. We saw a shooting star too.

I saw it too. We had like perfect weather for it, no clouds or anything. Tried to take a picture but I don't have a steady hand or a great camera or anything :P Oh well, Atleast I can say I've taken the dodgiest pictures of the 28/8/07 Lunar Eclipse :)

I had a peek. Not bad. Not the coolest thing ever but worth a look.

Haha, I'll post mine up here tomorrow and have a competition for worst photos. Mine were pretty shoddy, zoomed in so far without a tri-pod standing up proves for some cylandrical moons. xD

When you play mine back, it looks like a luminous worm is dancing :P But I'll be more than happy to try and upload them on this post. I'll edit here when I do :)

It looked out side this morning (woke up 2 hours early), but I couldn't see it anywhere. Kind of disappointing.

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

my mother for some strange reason filmed it. i was like are you ever going to watch that.....?

No pics yet? I checked NASA's website but they didn't have them yet. Haven't bothered looking anywhere else yet either. Kind of pissed I couldn't see it, since I woke up early and everything.

Is that really just a black box, ShadowFax, or is it supposed to be something?

I think I saw a lunar eclipse a couple years ago here in the United States. It was kind of cool... I don't even really remember it very well.

Apparently it was best seen over the pacific but could be seen in E Asia, Oz and W USA. No eclipse for us Europeans.

This was the best picture I took (and I took over 20!). Very hard to keep steady looking straight up with no support lol.

I was pumped to see it. Went outside at around 7.30 to have a look at it. Oh wow, it's overcast. Great. -.-

I suppose i'm not interested in things like that.

Doomy edit: I like sheep

I forgot to look outside to see it, but I live in Connecticut, USA, and the next night, the moon was a bright yellow and ginormous in the sky.

Dammit I missed the eclipse, now ill NEVER be able to see it.(until 1000 years from now... -.- )

When you mentioned the Dragon Plates I had a sudden vision of a load of gangsters running around in fancy dress yealling "Grim Reaper in da hood!"

Haha, I have to wait to 2010 to see it again, and like 2028 to see a solar eclipse over NZ, and even then it will be partial, and low in the sky. :(
