I was going to make the same topic and post some pictures, it's going on right now, and I'm in NZ. Started at 8.30pm, started going red from 9.30, and fully red at 10pm. Finishes at 1am.

If you miss this one, will have to wait till 2010.

Just came back from the beach, went down with a few friends and saw it, it was very cool, not something that you see very often. We saw a shooting star too.

I saw it too. We had like perfect weather for it, no clouds or anything. Tried to take a picture but I don't have a steady hand or a great camera or anything :P Oh well, Atleast I can say I've taken the dodgiest pictures of the 28/8/07 Lunar Eclipse :)

Haha, I'll post mine up here tomorrow and have a competition for worst photos. Mine were pretty shoddy, zoomed in so far without a tri-pod standing up proves for some cylandrical moons. xD

When you play mine back, it looks like a luminous worm is dancing :P But I'll be more than happy to try and upload them on this post. I'll edit here when I do :)

No pics yet? I checked NASA's website but they didn't have them yet. Haven't bothered looking anywhere else yet either. Kind of pissed I couldn't see it, since I woke up early and everything.

low-res, but it works

Haha, I have to wait to 2010 to see it again, and like 2028 to see a solar eclipse over NZ, and even then it will be partial, and low in the sky. :(
