dynastyfan0
These are my statements: - Dragon boots are a must have item. These will keep them at like 1m for a long time. - They finnaly let lower lvl slayers reap some rewards from their slaying. - They had to put them in with this update so that there was something to see from it right away, god sword armour pieces and swords are still super rare. I love this update!! 2181st to 99 Runecrafting on 7/28/2009
joker202
I bought a pair of dragon boots for 1 mil yesterday and then sold them 5 minutes later for 2.5mil. They will definately drop down to 300k easily. Then I will buy a pair to keep and not merchant. I love inflation, I make millions....
Orpheus
Look at Zot, he got 11 pairs yesterday... I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
meb
They seem to follow the armoured boots drop rate. I get, on average, 2 addy boots per Gargoyle task. The same goes for all the other armoured boots dropping monsters. I have yet to get a Nech task (already 81 Slayer :P ) but from my high level friends I have heard that they always get a pair or 2 per task. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Yeah some of my friends are kinda pissed they spent 1 mil+ because it's not that much of difference and the look of it is wierd according to them. Oh well if it hits 500k. I'll buy just because it's dragon. I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
Lakitsym_Rose
Well after thinking about it a bit I think this is another one of JAGeX's way of killing off Pures. Think about it, Dragon Boots as common as Rune, cheap, everyone over 60 Defence using them? Pures won't stand a chance. What is it with you and a personal vendetta against Jagex and accusing them of trying to kill off pures? Honestly, seems like any good weapon for an all around player is an excuse for you to bash Jagex for not satisfying pures. Face it, they are. Defenders, RFD Gloves, Torsos, 60 and 70 Prayers. They are trying to reward defence to the point that Pures can't stand up against them.

dynastyfan0
I like good items being lower in price. Do I like paying 20m for a dfs? no, would I still want it if it where 1m? yes. The cheaper, the better, except for rares and 3rd age. 2181st to 99 Runecrafting on 7/28/2009

That makes it more than 3 million right there : Anyways I might try for some boots over the weekend \
Tim
They did this with dragon legs, albeit, probly not as high a drop rate as this boots. It's to get lots of the boots into the game, then, after a month or so, they'll quietly nerf it. well best get myself a pair before that happens. my friends have like 5 sets and i have 0 because im only 40 slayer :XD: and well said 123Yourgone. retaxis2
8hrs at spiritual mages no drops :( could have gotten 1 or maybe even 2 whips if i was super lucky in this time. Dark beasts are too dangerous so i don't go there. i make a steady 200k-300k an hour slaying so no its nothing compared to RC
shadiogelert
Killed 412 yesterday (about 160 were a slayer task) got 1 drop. Today, got a task of 177, got 3 boots (not finished yet) :D But my friend got 7 pairs yesterday o.o I'd say they're more common than rune boots. Combat level: 120Total level: 1900+Skill capes 6 (and quest too)Going for: Nothing at the momentCurrently:Training Defence, waiting for Summoning

They are trying to reward defence to the point that Pures can't stand up against them. No, they are just actually making defense useful to train. The value of a pure was the fact that defense didn't add to much to combat, compared to their higher hits. Jagex responds by creating a reason to level up defense. They are trying to make it so that no single style of fighting is ALWAYS better than any other. Without the recent additions, pures would nearly always win someone (of their or similar combat level) in a fight, because the defense took away from possible attack/strength and added virtually nothing. But now there are boots and prayers and other armors that give defense the reason to exist :) Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
Krypt0n91
To get some flowing into the economy, they can always nerf the drop rate later. I think by the time they nerf the drop rate, they'll already be enough pairs in the game to keep the price at the most 1mil, probably less. Nobody ALWAYS get a pair or 2 rune boots per task. NOBODY. It's all random. There are times that I get 0 rune boots per task, sometimes 1 pair, sometimes 2, somtimes more but NEVER ALWAYS a pair or 2 per task. Drops are all random. I got 4 D Boots the first day after 2 hours then yesterday I got 0 after 5 hours.
Hooya2
I think the fact that (reportedly, I'm not sure about this) all the 'spiritual' monsters drop it has a major affect as well. That's a slayer level of 63 required - lower than that required for rune boots and thus easier for more people to get. nope, says in the KB that only the mages drop it, meaning slayer lvl of 83 is required Racist Mod (may or may not have been taken out of context)Figuring out what to put in my signature just takes too much work.If your still reading this, your a noob.lol

FastForce
killed about 800 spiritual mages for 13 dragon boots. love this update i made so much $ \ the boots are really common and the mages are really easy to kill since they dont have much defence Road To Trimmed Completionist
