On a more serious note, the sig is done fairly well, although I would have liked some color on the turntable, not "stand-out-ish" color, but something other than black and white. I do like the quote however, and can understand the meaning.

Jesus wasn't killed for any Roman empire will, but for the radical Judes that were afraid of the rising power/fellowship of Jesus, and the reflected consequences on their own religion/power. The Romans, being in control of those lands, simply were the political structure that accomplished the process started from the Judes and finished by the people (the same ppl that had in Jesus their Idol, and here comes the meaning of the sig imo) that voted him to death a couple days after worshipping him in the public streets.

 

 

 

Stated the above, the sig is well done and has its own meaning (if i got it right of course). I don't think it's anyhow offensive, even if i must recognize Azvy looked more like an elephant in a glass-shop in the managing of this thread.

If the man asks for input on his quote, and his quote is clearly referring to a religious issue, what exactly are we to do? Perhaps his whole thread should be moved there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is a religious issue. You don't slap pictures of Jesus on things and make a quote about it and expect it not to get into religious discussion. And Azvy, if you don't believe in it, why don't you go PROSTITUTE the images of something you DO believe in just for attention and leave Jesus out of it? Or at least let people say what they want about it without getting an attitude. If you want to use it fine. But once you suggest the whole topic, ask for feedback on the quote ,etc. don't act surprised and indignant when people take you up on it.

As for the picture of Jesus and everything - I didn't think this would be necessary..., but I will explain this as thoroughly as I can. I saw a guy on the street wearing a T-shirt with the following text, in green letters: "Kill Your Idols". I thought it was pretty cool and witty, so when I got home, I searched for the line on Google; thinking I might see the guy's shirt there, and use it as a reference picture. This is when I discovered that there's a band called, yes, that's right, "Kill Your Idols", and they use, yep, correct again, a picture of Jesus in some of their merch. Anyway, it's a punk rock band. I checked out their stuff, and it was pretty cool. But what "got to me" the most, was the effect that text and that picture together created.

 

 

 

So I fired up Photoshop and gave it my best shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm totally wrecked at the moment, tired, and annoyed, so I won't make a huge post, thusly continuing this deadly topic, but simply cut to the case: I won't remove my signature, I won't remove the quote and I won't remove the picture of Jesus unless a moderator or administrator tells me to.
