Dealing with stress?

Chilling to some music, sitting on the beanbag in my room, and just mellow out. Going out on an all nighter with mates is always good. Having a few icy cold beers on a hot summers day after work = ftw.

Or repeating the phrase "Wooo saaaaa, Wooooo saaaaaa" haha.

Well after i listened to your music i'd say that:

You are a musician, so no matter what problems you got, make music. You are good at that. Your music has meaning, unlike most of the random pretentious junk they make nowadays. It makes perfect sense. You are under "loads of stress" and your music is almost the definition of tranquility, wouldn't it be for the touch of sadness. I believe your music says something important and can hardly imagine what oh so important thing could cause you stress. I mean it can't be as important as your music.

Make sure to get enough sleep and exercise.

When I was a freshman in college I would stress out big time for exams. Pulling an all nighter was not unusual for me. I learned as I went on that if I started studying a little earlier and went to bed at normal hours and kept up my working out routine during finals week my grades would be a lot better.

well the best thing for me is to take my bike, call some friends...and..go ridin

like a psyho...it healps, realy it does

Last time I rode my bike I decided to gap some stairs.. It was a simple jump but I managed to let my leg slip and it ended up between the peg and the ground when I landed.. I thought I broke it for a few minutes, but after a few hours it stopped swelling and.. Well I haven't ridden my bike since..

Best stress relief is sex i'd say.
Definitely. This may be grounds for inappropriate, but learn how to "take care of yourself."

Not that I want to discourage this course of action, but in high stress situations, the sexual drive drops spectacularly. Except on the brink of death, apparently. An eros-thanatos kind of thing...

Even so, relief is only temporary and doesn't really take the stress away.

Music or in general do something that needs your attention, so you can't think about the thing(s) you are stressed about.

Music probably is a cause of the stress. Working on music full time AND having a day to day job is just a bit much. It might be a bit of a leap into the cold water, but focusing on one of these two things will reduce the amount of stress drastically.

I mean it's just so: lol!

Yeah i know. Everybody needs money, but there are different ways then getting a day to day job. Everybody will tell you that you should do what you are good at, that you should do what you love. It's a complete waste when you spend your time working at McDonalds.

try confronting whatever it is thats stressing you so much. If its a big exam, study. If it's something you can't confront, try fighting the air 8-)

Anyways, I confront my stressors. It always works out.

Talk with a trustworthy freind.

Today I was unbelievably depressed/stressed/angered.

Luckily when I got home no one was home yet, I was listening to deafening music while I was on the bus.

At home I do things that need concentration to do, like basketball or billiards. Then if that fails, I take a book out of my closett and pound it until I hurt, or the book dies.

Right now I have 2 horribly bent hard cover books and a disfigured middle knuckle, but it helped me calm down.

The only moment in life you will ever have to deal with is the current situation. The rest is psychological and will only add weight to one's shoulders.

The Present Moment

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Japanese warrior was captured by his enemies and thrown into prison. That night he was unable to sleep because he feared that the next day he would be interrogated, tortured, and executed. Then the words of his Zen master came to him, "Tomorrow is not real. It is an illusion. The only reality is now." Heeding these words, the warrior became peaceful and fell asleep.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

For me it depends on what kind of stress it is. If it's a drained/depressing stress i usually lie on the beach and listen to music. if it's anger/frustration stress i hit the gym or the boxin bag. Everyone has their own relaxants i guess u just have to find urs
