Welcome to Getting to know your fellow Tipers Better!!

I started this post as a blog but now I want to share my great expirences with the community. So this is no longer a blog, but a way to learn more in depth about many of your fellow Tip.iters. :thumbsup:

Another great way to introduce your self is on this sticky Introduce Yourself to Tip.It!!! This is for a much more in depth of some of the long time fellow Tip.iters.

Due to the overwellming nuber of interviews I have reorganised the post. I have modified my old post toGetting To Know Tip.It! Archives and Sent In.

This is where everyone that sends in a generic interview will go. You can either send them in or just post them! I will then put it to the list on the top. This will reduce clutter. :thumbsup: Thus making it more enjoyable to read. This will actually make it so your interview is read more so!

I want to introduce many to the Tip.It community more so!

Who are you, as I looked through the blogs, I realized I only know a few of the people here on Tip.It. I have met and talked to many people such as Oreo, many of the Ooc members and leaders but I havenÃÆÃÂ¢ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¡ÃÂ¬ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¾ÃÂ¢t met many others. Thus the purpose of this blog. My goal is to meet in game many of the people we all know and love. This will be fun for me and the whole Tip.It community. So to start out this blog I want help from YOU. I have a series of interview questions but I want to know what the tip.it community wants to know. We have seen interviews by Tip.It with Zezima and propose to do something similar with, well, you quite possibly!

Some of the basic questions will include (they are basic and are from some of Tip. ItÃÆÃÂ¢ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¡ÃÂ¬ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¾ÃÂ¢s interviews):

An interesting thought that I have thought about was pointed out:

That's not an interview. Its a character-less questionnaire. If you want to interview people and claim you did so, I would at least recommend talking to them. That way, you can ask questions based on their responses and really get to find more about them.

This looks more like a public questionnaire than interviews to me you know.

That is true but due to my time constraints and getting the interviews posted in a timely matter I have not had the chance to do this, though I have met some fellow Tippers in game. I could do it but it would be hard to schedule. If an interviewie :P would like to have a "face to face" interview pm me and say so. Though it will take a little longer to get it through. Thanks for bringing that out. :-k Who knows I may get some friends to go interview people for me :D

Highlighted Interviews!

This one was done kinda different but I loved it so here it is:

Hi, I started playing RuneScape in year 1 with my username

"rodentratman" through a site called emailcash here in Australia,

although being a UK-based game at the time I didn't really get into

it. I missed out on Easter Eggs completely and just missed out on

Christmas crackers since I didn't have telekinetic grab at the time.

Many players collected about 100 each from what I could tell.

My real name is Roden and and at the time rodentratman was my username

for everything so I just went with it. After about a year and 2 years

respectively, I created two melee pures called "manginaboy" and "L87

greater". I was greatly disappointed when the combat level of greater

demons (along with other creatures such as the level 110 green dragon

[now called Elvarg]) was changed.

RuneScape was my first MMO game but I've always had an interest in

RPGs from the days of the original gameboy and the Nintendo and Super

Nintendo. Now that RuneScape takes up my time though I'm not really a

console-game person any more.

I didn't know anyone when I started. Most of the players sent me off

to be killed by the bear between Lumbridge and Draynor village which

now seems to be non-existant. I remember as a noob asking to buy a

bronze axe so i could chop wood to light fires to train my cooking for

my previous raw chicken meat. I eventually saved up over 1K before

somebody sold me one. The next day I found Bob's axes. I was not

amused.

I have a current skill total of 1931 but my greatest achievement

would've been my total while I was on F2P since I was only P2P as of 2

years ago. Back in the day many of my highscores were in the top 1000

but it wasn't that great an achievement at the time since most people

were F2P and then members took that status away from me. After the

release of Australian web servers, dragon bones and then gilded

altars, I became a member myself.

I'm not much of a quest person or clue person, running around doing

odd tasks for people that don't really exist but I meet lots of people

who do so when they're bored I give them odd jobs to do instead with

reasonable rewards for example 100K for 100 raw bear meats.

When skilling I prefer to log onto a crowded world for fast respawns

or random company. Since most people are in the market on the crowded

worlds, I tend to meet other skillers as I'm working on my own skills.

In the case of skills that don't require respawns, I'll usually log

onto one of Australian worlds to catch up with some aussie friends.

My least favourite skill WAS runecrafting because of the likely PK

death from the wilderness shortcut but with the introduction of the

ZMI altar and being high combat, this is likely to change to

fletching. Yes I know, easy levels but MY GOD ITS BORING!

I play about 5 hours a day at the moment but it depends what else is

going on in my life. I'm currently setting up a RuneScape tip site

that focusses on an interactive marketplace and trade centre. I find

that sites such as tip.it, runehq and salmoneus focus significantly on

content, discussion and guides and hope that this addition to the

RuneScape fansite world will be appreciated.

My current goal is to get 85 ranged and 80 slayer which I'm about 90K

away from. I'm a little peeved that dragon boots came out when I was

so close to getting rune boots but some wild pie should fix that

problem. I'm also craving full armadyl for the ultimate ranger

experience.

My favourite skill to work on would probably be crafting because of

it's flexibility. Snakeskin for clues, Dragonhide for combat and

slayer, gems for bolts and jewellery and staves for magic. It's a

great all-round skill worth levelling and you don't get bored with it.

I've quit several times in Runescape. The first being after a few

years but only for about a month. I recently quit just over 7 months

ago and have just come back just over 1 month ago. I did quit for

about 2 years somewhere in the middle there and had to recover my

password, it had been that long.

I've submitted some information for tip.it in the past and although I

didn't get credit for the info, the pages got updated so that gave me

a sense of satisfaction that I've helped the tip.it community

I heard of tip.it through word of mouth. With all the censors for

sites such as .com addresses, tip.it stood out from the crowd.

Other than RuneScape, I like to work out at the gym, work on my own

website and hang out with friends clubbing, movies whatever's on!

The one piece of advice I'd give to all tip.iters is to always try

things for yourself because you don't get a second chance to do

something a first time and it's a great feeling of self-satisfaction.

Back in the classic days... My friends all started playing it, so i started to i became UBER rich (had 50k cash and 10k feathers) :o (well it was rich in my world and time) all my friends became higher then me because they no lifed but somehow i still got better then them

How did you pick your name? When did you start to use Tip.It?

Well my name is salim and most of my game names if not salim are salim123 so i chose that because its easy and doesnt have to many numbers. I started tip.it around level 30 combat (maybe in december 04) but joined forums in 05.

Did you play any other MMOÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¡ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¯s and what type of other games do you enjoy?

No RS was the first MMO game i ever played (i thought the graphics sucked but it had a great deal of things to do and a wonserfull story line). I enjoy mostly racing games because i am a 1337 drifter lol

Did you have any friends help you as you started the game?

No they didnt i usualy helped them out alot in their tough situations such as the time my friend was in karajama with blue phat and 10 health left with poisen

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Becoming Level 50 In F2P and owning an entire mask set which i bought for 100k

What is one of your favorite quests to do on game?

RFD because it forced me to do about a hundred other quests

Are you a loner on the game or do you prefer to be with friends when skilling? I usually talk to all my friends otherwise i get bored and leave

What is your least/favorite skill? Why?

Favorite is prayer, construction and farming and least favorite is probaly runecrafting

On average, how many hours a day do you play?

lol i play 30min a day >.<

Current Goals: 99 Prayer And 99 Cooking (Working On Cooking)

Do you ever think of quitting the game?

Yes i do alot. i quit about once a year for a few months then come back on summer vacation

Yes it has, its has helped me get away from all the noobs that play RS :P

How did you come across the Tip.It website?

Searching RS Cheats :( when i was around level 30 combat back on 04. I found this and used a whoel bunch of guides

What do you like to do outside of the game?

Bike ride, badminton, hang out with friends

What would be the one piece of major advice that you would give to all fellow Tip.iters?

Dont play Rs to much (if you play more then 3 hours a day its to much) go outside and go to the movies with friends or go play a sport. If you play to much you will get bored faster

When did you begin playing RS and how did you come across it?

i started after a gang of friends talked about it. when i created my first account, lord psych33 i began to get hooked at it and later i advanced many lvls and ascended every of my friends ranks.

How did you pick your name? When did you start to use Tip.It?

clifford252, the reason why its clifford, NO its not cause of the big red dog, its cause of my name. i want to carry out my pride by naming my character after me. i started using tip.it in july 2006, unfortunately i forgot the pass and created another account called abyssal_whip. 8-)

Did you play any other MMOÃÆÃÂ¢ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¡ÃÂ¬ÃÂ¢Ã¢â¬Å¾ÃÂ¢s and what type of other games do you enjoy?

multiplayers like warcraft, they wernt seeking interest in updates so i gave up and went on to MMORPGS.

rl friends? no. they all gave up and pursuit different games leaving me all left alone. this did benefit one thing and thats no longer risking my items over their friendship.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

99 woodcutting, my most favored skill since i started runescape. it was finally done after determination on reaching it.

What is one of your favorite quests to do on game?

i enjoyed monkey madness cause of the epic storyline and the puzzles to solve

i admit, i dont have much friends irl. thats why i come to runescape and talk to others not within my society.

farming, lvl 46, using genie lamps and tears of guthix, all the way.

i used to freak out my time and play over 12 hours, now since school has been a little tighter on me, i play just roughly 3 hours.

none at all, my only interest now is relaxing and seeking for more updates

absolutely, everything has an end!

A friend told me about it in 2001.

My first character was named Xenobia666, but I died on a Man. I made a new character, and chose the Warrior class. I named him Dragonlord because dragons are mythical, omnipotent beings, and the JL comes from the name of a moderator of an old game I used to play. I do not know when I started to use Tip.It.

I play RS and CS: Source

I usually skill alone. If I skill with friends, I get distracted and end up accomplishing little.

My favorite skill is Slayer, I am not sure why. I enjoy combat, and it has a nice change of pace every so often. My least favorite skill is farming, because I always end up sitting there waiting for it to finish growing.

On average, how many hours a day do you play?

2-5

What are your current goals? DO you have a favorite skill that you like working on more than others?

99 Slayer. Slayer :P

Do you ever think of quitting the game?

Sometimes. I have quit three times in the past, but I always come crawling back.

Has being part of Tip.It helped you in any way? How?

It is very useful with doing Clues and Quests.

How did you come across the Tip.It website?

Don't remember.

What do you like to do outside of the game?

Write fictional novels and play any console RPGs.

What would be the one piece of major advice that you would give to all fellow Tip.iters?

Set a goal. It will make skilling manageable and keep you playing RS. Also, don't do something that you hate just to obtain bragging rights. Getting 99 smithing is not worth the time and effort if you abhor smithing. Basically, it's a game and you should do what you enjoy. That's why my combat skills are maxed and many of my other skills are quite low. I enjoy combat and dislike most other skills.

In the past I played Neopets lol...

Then i got sick of it. Now i am playing Command and Conquer 3.

Yes, my buddy gave me full black and some money to start with.

Oh it got to be Recipe for Disaster.

When skilling Range i do it alone.. No one trains in wildy much haha.

Well on other skill i just train where most people train.

Agility, FireMaking, Mining, Runecrafting.

I don't think Bodybuilding includes fingers.

thanks, i for one felt it was a slight bit big and was kind of hard to read, thats just me i prefer small well spaced lettering.. its nothing against how you put it on any of that its just everyday i use a friends computer and i [bleep]ing hate how he has the resolution and [bleep]ing reading is just a pain.

i found these to be interesting tho, such as i assumed misterxman was going to be based off the x-men comic/movies perhaps more then it was being that his name is xavier.
