Ontopic: If the CND went up, it would justify Jagex lowering the rates. As it is, that has not happened; only the USD has dropped. Hence, raising the rates for Americans would be justified.

I think I should file a lawsuit..like everyone else does.

2 dollars (or wahtever u use in canada) is arround 1 pound. ours is 5 pounds for 1 month. so basicaly u are beeing charged 6 pounds casue ov the 99 sence (wahtever it is) so ur like 1 pound, 2 dollars more than english get. for the same thing. they realy should fire whoever woprked that one out

because it's a fixed cost, they'd also have to lower the price for u.s. to make it even out as well. Also, this is just temporary, the CDN dollar will lower in value b/c we'll lose business to the americans

Look, Jagex can't update prices every day, it'd be confusing for them and us.

Jagex actually does hate Canadians, all they care about is the money they rip us out of.

 

If you complain to them their AUTOmated response system will play you a song on the worlds smallest violin.

Canada's dollar will falter. Its resource boom is also extremely temporary, with Alberta's oil sands drying up in possibly less than 10 years.

You do realize that Canada has the second largest oil reseve in the world, next to only Saudi Arabia. We have approximately 179.2 gigabarrels (billion barrels), and Total Canadian oil production was about 1.2 gigabarrels in 2006, giving Canada about 150 years of reserves at current rates.

I agree, they really should change this. but the price range is always jumping about so it would be hard for them to settle on the right price

I think all prices should be the exact same, it's not fair. They should convert the $5 US to the amount it's worth in others and thats how much you pay. Even if they updated it every week or so it would be better than how it is now.

I'd like to ask Jagex why they make Rs so cheap for the Americans. Most Runescape players are from America so why doesn't Jagex raise the price for them?

 

 

 

If you base the price on the US dollar then these are the current costs:

 

 

 

England: $6.56 USD

 

 

 

Canada: $7.30 USD

 

 

 

America: $5.00 USD

Canadian dollar was up to 1.04 USD when I last heard, so the wait is over.

Somebody pointed out earlier that companies generally only update their exchange rates once or twice a year, so it isn't really discrimination.
