Heres the problem there is a latency between the change on the stock market to the present or future. I am Canadian and as Canadians know we got screwed no matter which way that lonney rolls. The worst part is most businesses won't let canadian's pay in large sums of international currency. For example the book store price in american is $10-$20 dollars less. There are SIX OTHER CONTINENTS IN THE WORLD! The dollar is weak at the moment. Could it be, that it's weak against those crazy other currencies in abroadland? OMG!! It is!! If you think that it is just Canada that pays more because of the weak dollar you are incredibly ignorant. You are complaining that Canadians get ripped off because you pay $7 Canadian and it costs $5 US. The cheapest price is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 in the UK which is now $6.40 US because of the weak dollar. I'm sure it is the same for all countries, not just Canada. :roll: The dollar will stabilise soon and the prices will become fair again. In the meantime, take some consolation in the fact that Jagex haven't increased their prices since members was released in 2002, which in real terms is a drop in price. m4tty Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 stop posting stupid immature stuff the reason its different is because the money doesnt go directly to jagex, the money goes to another company to be sent to jagex, if you want to pay "exactly the same as everyone else", send the money to jagex yourself somehow and youll probably find youll have to pay more taxes etc on it than the companies who specialise in getting money between countries for internet sites etc. are you really that stupid to think the military would attack a games company because of the membership price, OR AT ALL? m4tty Posted October 4, 2007 Share Posted October 4, 2007 it should maybe be adjusted now due to values of money changing, but im pretty sure jagex gets close enough to the EXACT same amount in their bank account per member from every country... theres a reason in the UK pay by phone is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã5 but credit card is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20, the company who redirects the money on the phone method probably charges more... ironic thing is most of you probably have your parents pay for it... and its basically afew pennies for crying out loud. If possible though it's better to pay in USD right now but in the future they should make CAD and USA the same. Like right now the CAD dollar is higher than the US! Jagex should really fix this.
