I'm quite confident in saying that everyone who goes out and PvPs will always be called a noob by someone. The reasons?

-Defense

-Prayer

-Potting-

- Strength/Range/Mage Pure

The question is, why? The answer: All of them Are Advantages

-Defense-

"z0mg, I can't hit j00 through all dat armour"

Defense is a part of combat. These people fork over the time and money to actually not take damage. Others think that higher defence is just a waste of combat levels because you take mostly the same amount of damage.

-Prayer-

I'm sure Prayer is viewed as another way of potting, but with more variety and other special abilities. You can greatly decrease the damage you take, and then increase your damage at the same time.

-Potting-

That special little something that can boost your strength level 12.5%. Steroids, as I call them, are frowned upon by those who don't use them and praised by those who do.

-Pures-

Well, where to start. Pures as we all know are pretty much RuneScape's "combat specialists." Being able to do great deals of damage at low combat levels, this species of 'Scapers is what all PvP is known for.

---------------------------

I constantly see this in the Wilderness, and people have different views on what is considered a noobish thing to do and what isn't.

Please add your thoughts on any subject. Very good arguments will be quoted in their respective category.

Well, why would people call you these versions of noob? Do you support potting in the wildy, or do you think it's nooby?

There are many Codes of Conduct in PvP situations in RuneScape, most of which revolve around these. I would include teleporting and running in this, but I didn't.

They call you "---- noob" because they can't deal with the fact that they didn't do what you did, or they can't, or they just can't beat you.

This isn't exactly a debate-worthy topic, in my opinion. :-k

There's nothing wrong with potting, unless you do so in a dm that prohibits it. There's nothing wrong with prayer, same as potting. Use what you have at your disposal, and don't listen to the people that insult you for it.

What really pisses me off is when they whine about you safing. Well, I'm going to do what I know will give me better chances of winning than going suicidal, waiting until 5-10 hp to eat. I'll take my side of the fight before I take my opponent's. That's mostly why I keep chat off during battle.

the wilderness is full of people who frown at anything that turns the favor of combat away from them. they want your stuff, if they can't get it, they're not smart enough to up their game to beat you, so they whine.

Why do people say it? Im guessing because their other peers say it.

Classic example

team member 1: Omg safer noob

team member 2: yeah stop safing

Then some random person watching this fight will say it later on to someone else.

It is like a popular phrase at school. Once someone says it, it becomes contagious.

I just do the mature thing and say nothing. And hope the example im setting is seen by another.

Saying that, i do like a 'low-hp' fight. But im not bothered when someone eats.

Why? Because they picked a fight they couldn't handle because they judged your combat level without thinking what type of person you are. Either their character 'type' is weak to yours or they just decided to skip something and they are bad losers. I'm sorry to say but you get bad losers in any game. They only way to avoid it is to avoid places like the wilderness :(.

They are probably bad loser in life as well, if you think about it.

Because they are mad they can't kill you fast. Also their immature little 8 year olds who have no maturity and whine everytime they die or lose.

I agree with Master Smither. If you cant beat them, join them. Get your defence level up if you find that you lose to people with a good defense level. Get your prayer up if you find you lose to people who have a good prayer level. Or make your own pure if you lose to them, or even better get to such a high combat that you can kick their [wagon] from here to Yanile anyway. Quit whining. If you lost, come back better prepared next time.

They call you "noob" to either:

(a) Make themselves feel big and mighty when they beat you, even though they are 20 levels higher than yourself.

(b)Try to discourage you from potting, using prayer or training defense as it makes it harder for them to kill you and take your items. They don't like you having an advantage over them.

I notice this a lot in c wars, as i don't pk myself, but i just laugh, it's not my fault i had the sense to bring some strenght potions and switch my defense prayer on, Its not my fault i want to give myself the best chance of surviving.

The best you can say to this people is either nothing or a "lol" in the chatbox and console yourself that at least you didn't turn out that way.

had you actually read the thread, you would know. it also doesn't help the debate that your response was less than a sentence...

if you can win legally, why does it matter how? they're upset that you're more likely to kill them...
