does anyone have any good epic music?

 

i've been after some real stuff for ages but cant seem to find much!

 

im talking cinematic soundtracks, or just anything else which is proper over the top epic!

I don't know if these count as epics, but anyway....

There are three truly epic pieces I know of, twenty minutes long. =D

Dune (by Toto) has a pretty epic feeling part to it.

blushenka's list is pretty good.

Alot of Yes's stuff is pretty epic. Relayer, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Close to the Edge...to name a few. Also, Kansas has some great guitar that has an "epic" feeling to it in Masque and Leftoverture. And check out Klaatu's song Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft, I don't know if that'd be epic to you, but it seems like it to me.

A lot of iron maiden stuff i would consider really epic. Paschendale, Dance of the dead, rainmaker, the list goes on.

If you're going for epic, then Stairway to Heaven probably wins.
