I use modern mainly for teleports....

The teleports and non-combat magic are simply the most useful.

 

With the others, Ancients is only good for combat, and although Lunar is very useful, the teleports make it troublesome to use.

Technically Lunar is most useful with the spellbook change spell but as I'm not 96 magic nor have I done the second quest in the series (can't remember what it's called now...) I generally stick to normal spellbook.

I'd say Lunar is the most useful book, Ancients is best for combat, and Modern is best all round. It's how you define "best".

no way! I enjoy alching while casting spellbook swap every time. (note i do nto hav e96 mage, nor have i done either lunar quest)

 

Seriously, if i had done the quests, and wasnt f2p at the moment, id be on lunar, as i dont combat mage much, and i usually use jewellery for teles.

Lunar spell book + Like 200+ home tele tabs with 2 full portal rooms. That's how I roll. 8-)

it really dependes on what you doing....

 

 

 

-Youll see lunar is focus on non-combat related spells got spell that helps in skills like crafting, farming, slayer, hunter, any of them do damage they are more combat support type

 

 

 

-But ancient on the other hand is full combat relate got pleny of damaging spells wtih cool effects and several teleports to wilderness locations

 

 

 

-And in the mid of both spellbook lists we got the modern/normal book, which is balanced, it got a piece of all: non combat, teleportation, damaging spells, everthing, and for that reason is that is the most usefull book

Modern, I have been using for all my runescape life, and dont plan on changing.

Modern It has teles+bind spells+high alch :)

I'd really prefer to be on ancients with home tele tabs at all times, but making the tabs is such a pain in the rear that I typically use modern.

Modern, seriously, you get a bad drop from a monster, alch it and done!

depends on the needs. for teleing, alching, smelting, and burning people with Flames of Zamorak, modern. For having an edge in the wildy, ancients. For being useful while still being a pacifist in the wildy during stuff like clan wars, as well as for stuff like construction, lunars.

Lunars is the best...hands down. If you need to alch, tele to moonclan with all your alching supplies, change to modern, alch at the altar, change back to lunars when finished.

 

 

 

I also have 96 magic and thousands of teleport tabs in my bank...so my vote might be biased.

Well I don't favour any that much but here are my opinions on them.

 

Modern:Useful for teles,High Alchemy and Tele-Block.

 

Lunar:Best for skilling.

 

Ancients:Best for combat.

If i had 96 mage, definatly lunar, but i like modern

modern since I'm f2p. Hmmmm, tele-other + macroer = fun :D . And tb + macroer in green drags = free stuff : .

modern- its got alch and slayer dart ftw!

They all have their ups and downs:

 

 

 

Lunar: awesome for skilling...you can help clan really well

 

 

 

Ancients: The BEST pking one...it has spells that will freeze/cause great damage.

 

 

 

Modern: It has teles and high alchs...its binding spells couse no damage...therefor are almost useless unless you are in a clan.

 

 

 

 

 

But personally...i prefer ancients...hehe
