ice_ring
Well, I just...well can't say I actually watched it... well i guess I "experienced" Pulp Fiction. I probably would have avoided it if I would have learned that it was directed by QT. (gore and all me no like) But anyway, I really didnt understand it, and just didn't like it. And I've heard all these great reviews and stuff like that, but jeez I really didn't like this movie. and omg I was freaked out by those redneck rapist dudes...ugh. So the point of this post, what did you think of this movie, and if you enjoyed it, what did you see that I didn't. O yeah, I can say one good thing, the dialogue rocked, as I've heard is common in QT's movies.

krunkthemonk
It's definitly my favorite movie of all time. No complaints other then what you mentioned happened in the store... Oh my god you just shot Marvin! <-- Best part of the whole movie. What exactly didn't you understand about the movie though? What was in the suitcase? The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.

I just didn't really understand what was goin on, I picked up on it about 15 mins in and was lost. Then Butch shot Vincent and then he was alive again or something, but I guess the story was told from different times or something :?
Vekkeh
I watched it for about.. 10 minutes. I was lost, and incredibly bored. I switched to something that makes me happy. Such as porn.
Goliath
the story can be quite difficult to understand since it jumps in time and different people alot, but it really is a great movie. The language is a little "hard" but the dialouge, as you said, is good and sometimes real fun. Jules hair rocks :D
Korla
I've only seen it from anout 40 minutes into it, kinda hard to tell, since I don't know, really :) but I liked it, the dialogue, is, as you say, very very well written :D not really sure what to say, must watch it again. I was also abit surprised that Vicent "survived" that shooting, but I just didn't understand it completely.

Danabis
Tarantino movies have the best, and most natural sounding dialogue. The "Royale wit' cheese" speech in Pulp Fiction, and the "I don't tip" speech from Resevoir Dogs are some of the best movie dialogue ever written. Eludia
It is a great film. It is told from many different perspectives and the order in which the events occured is mixed up a bit. If you didn't understand it, watch it again. It's just the kind of film that you either understand, or you don't. (I had to watch fight club twice for this reason. ) There were so many classic scenes. John Travolta doing the nerdy dancing, then shooting the guy in the car spring to mind.
How2PK
It's amazing, Reservoir Dogs was better though, anyway. Dialogue is awesome, it's very varried, it got everything; normal everyday conversations that you could have with your friends, rough dialogues that are intimitating (or w/e is de word in English, lol), and overall they're brought in entertaining funny way, it's just awesome. The story line is done in an awesome way, you just get thrown in the deep when the movie starts, and with every scene you can puzzle a bit more, you just don't know what you get, it can go everywhere, the surprise element is awesome. The movie has gore, some philosophy, a bit of romance, the actors are awesomely casted, music is great, and of course, the famous dancing scene, and shot marvin scene. :D Film doesn't get much better, IMHO. cluck
This movie is one of my favourite movie of all times include all Indiana Jones movies. My dad own Pulp Fiction DVD after he got it for his birthday in last year ago. I know many people can confusing when they watch this movie or watch QTs' movies for first time. I have many experiences about QTs' movies which QT almost always use each chapters have own characters' story like Reservoir Dogs (another great movie). Pulp Fiction use story in different times like jump to forward then jump to back etc. You'll understand a lot if you re-watch this movie. Truth me it's greatest movie. Mr_Putter
It was only a little harder to follow than other movies, but I got it first time. I thought it was awesome, the stories came together in such amazing ways, and the story jumping from time to place to charecter kept it fresh. In all the 2 hours 40 minutes of it I was never at all bored, there was just so much fun. Reservoir Dogs was better though I dunno...Reservoir Dogs was probably a better movie, but Pulp Fiction I got more entertainment out of I think. Reservoir Dogs was a more serious movie (somewhat) with a better story but Pulp Fiction was just amazingly entertaining. I like both though, in different ways. Yea, I know what you mean, but I don't really agree, there are some scenes in Pulp Fiction that I don't really like, they're too long, and not really interesting, the part of the army man giving the watch to Butch, Butch scenes with his girlfriend in the motel. Those are less entertaining and got on my nerves after seeing Pulp Fiction two times. Reservoir Dogs has shorter scenes than Pulp Fiction, I think the opening scene with the Like a virgin discussion is the longest scene in Reservoir Dogs, short scenes keep a movie more interesting and moving than longer scenes, dialogue and storyline made up a lot with that in Pulp Fiction though, but what I just said makes it the better movie, I think. But it also affects the entertainment value. But that's just my opinion. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Phil
Pulp Fiction is a great film. Along with Reservoir Dogs. (Reservoir Dogs is better though) As was said watch it again. indy500fan
yeah, i liked resevoir dogs better. length of the movie had something to do with it, i dont have as long as attention span as i used to. jackie brown was a good one of his too, along with kill bill of course. and true romance was a good movie, he either wrote that or directed it(cant remember which). i have his 4 movies, they were the first movies i bought
Bubsa
I feel sorry for you if you can't understand this movie, you are seriously missing out. Again though, Dogs is better ;) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Pete_the_Viscous
Pulp Fiction is good, yeah. I'm not usually a fan of QT, as I find that he uses shocks (that is to say, shocking things, not "BOO!" sort of shocks) to get the reaction he wants far too often, as in Resevoir Dogs and things like From Dusk 'Til Dawn. Pulp Fiction, however, is great. That part where Bruce Willis's character is looking for a weapon to kill the rapists with is hilarious. Also, I thought the music on the film was quite well chosen. deviantart account
1_man_army
I loved Pulp Fiction & Resevoir Dogs as well as Jackie Brown. Alot of people dont like Jackie Brown but I dont understand why, although it wasnt as good as Resevoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction it was a great film. Also I didnt realise until a few months ago when watching Resevoir Dogs that Mr Blonde(from Resevoir Dogs) is supposed to be Vicent(from Pulp Fictions) brother, tht would've been an interesting family. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

Yea. When I was watching that I'm thinking in my head... "No, you're gonna need something bigger than a hammer. Hmmmm, baseball bat, try and find a gun. Hmmmm chainsaw, do it, go Scarface on him! Wait - Samurai Sword! Do it! Cut those rapists up!!!"
Meesy
It's one of those movies you have to see twice before you can fully understand what it's about, just like... The Sixth Sense, for example. Member of #darkwebz.

I thought it was a bit strange the first time I watched it too. :) Just because of Mr. Pink. "Why do i have to be mr pink?", heh thats a sweet quote. Yeah i watched the whole move twice. Its long, and i too don't relaly get what happened. But thats just the way the movie is made. Theres no real protagonist, and all the points somehow come together I guess. Well done, it kept me excited even though its a bit boring if its not your tight. I loved when the guy comes into the room and unloads on them and then misses all his shots and they just stand there 8)
Futurama
Pulp Fiction's essentially a cult film, and you really have to be quite intelligent to get the full effect of the movie. I thought it was awesome myself, though the rape scene was a little too graphic. The samuri sword butchery was brilliant though, aswell as the scene where the girl OD's on cocaine. The whole "What, i've got to stab her 3 times?" thing had me in stitches :)
