Does Jagex ever really use suggestions in the forums for updates?

 

Whether it's Quests, Items, Monsters?

 

 

 

This thread is to create a list of most or all of the game content that has been added because of us players.

 

 

 

I'm not aware of any game content that has been added because of suggestions. If you know any, please post away.

I know the new Halloween stuff that's coming out was taking off a sticky on the RSOF and then voted on.

they sometimes use small parts of the suggestions, but when someone already designs a quest and such, they don't make it...

I'm sure there are only a handfull of things that Jagex has implemented because of a suggestion.

at least wilderness (though its not an item) was developed/added because of a player.. i think.. or was it because a j mod thought it would be best... though meh, i dont know :D

Achievement Capes.

The amount sold per day was stolen from the Suggestion forum. They locked the thread after they used it too.

Usually it's just minor updates, I remember some being added can't remember what though.

I think fletch x was player suggested? I'm not sure because it was a looooong time ago.

Bank Pin on coffers of kingdom of Miscelenia :D

Duel arena was suggested by players[by L6vi(the oldschool one, not the guy who bought the account)].

I'm pretty sure Dark Bow was player suggested.

Castle Wars was player suggested.

I remember when i always used to go on the RSoF, a guy had a topic about bank pins (before they were created in rs) it was a huge hit.

 

 

 

A few months later, they were created.

Cook x was a player suggestion.

I think we can all agree that player-owned-houses was wanted by the people :XD:

Quite a few quests and minigames were player-suggested, and just adapted to fit RuneScape... :)

When browsing all the different forums, you'll notice the huge amount of suggestions in each board.

 

 

 

THere are so many suggestions, that it is impossible to be aware of them all. So even if Jagex implements player made suggestions, you as a player probably won't recognize it as such.

Basically all the new ideas have been thought of by players but JaGex has adapted them slightly.

Slayer ( i think)

 

Construction kind of

 

Castle Wars

 

Capes of Achievement (I think..)

 

 

 

 

 

Just because they don't credit who came up with the update doesn't mean they're not using the ideas. They really are actually, and there's a lot more out there that i didn't name.
