October 23, 200718 yr Can I remind you the hood won by 60 something votes? And about the hood... looks so similar to Void hood what a surprise wooah.... If you think it looks like void hood, you've evidently never had a void hood. They look completely different. As to the hood winning by sixty votes... so what? IT STILL WON. If two basketball teams play, and the ending score is 95-94, the first team still won, even if it's by one point. Both goods were popular. That's fine. One still had more votes than the other. So that's the one that wins. You can't say "Both basketball teams win because one was behind by only one point" can you? -.- Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! October 23, 200718 yr No. With f2p the majority of runescape they have the upper hand and since they don't get Hoods in game and we do they wanted a hood yet most members wanted something else. October 23, 200718 yr No. With f2p the majority of runescape they have the upper hand and since they don't get Hoods in game and we do they wanted a hood yet most members wanted something else. It'd just be a f2p dictatorship disappointing the 1 m paying customers. This update was made for everyone. It is one of the few updates that F2Pers get to partake in. There are more lower levels playing this game than higher levels. When the lower level players choose to have a Varrock achievement diary instead of the Relleka achievement diary, is that lower level dictatorship disappointing the tens of thousands of higher level, also paying customers? When a guaranteed update is to effect everyone, everyone should get a say. If there were more Liberals than Conservatives, even if the conservatives were paying more taxes or something, the idea of a democratic decision is that EVERYONE has their say, and their choice holds an equal weight to everyone else's choice. No. With f2p the majority of runescape they have the upper hand and since they don't get Hoods in game and we do they wanted a hood yet most members wanted something else. It'd just be a f2p dictatorship disappointing the 1 m paying customers. Thank you Look all the people who are disagreeing with me are f2p On the contrary. I've been a member for years, and I have only ONE nonmember friend, who is only a nonmember temporarily, and has only been f2p for a week. He's planning to begin members again next week I'm just saying that since this update is aimed just as much for the nonmembers as the members, it's only fair that if you want to poll it, nonmembers should have a say too. October 23, 200718 yr IMO, 90% of the holiday events are fun and relaxing because it is a surprise. Take that away and they are no fun to do :?. We don't need to ruin another event because of this, and with polls there will always be disagreements and flaming.

No, all the people disagreeing with you are intelligent people. In reply to you Master, it wouldn't be a dictatorship, but they are the majority and they wanted it. It is better to satisfy the majority than dissatisfy the majority because it proves more deadly to Jagex causing more problems. Those who pay for the game are not going to stop paying for the game due to one measley update which they didn't enjoy as it has no consequence on the rest of the game and they will carry on with their gaming lives. Just because you are not in the majority doesn't mean that you are more important than those in the majority.
October 23, 200718 yr Just because you pay 5 dollars a month, doesn't mean your say counts for more. If you could "buy" votes, the government would be totally corrupt. F2p and members both got equal say, because it affected them both. Majority wins, and that's a completely fair rule (whether the majority is f2p or p2p). We all play the same game, and p2p shouldn't decide what f2p gets. Stop whining over how you people didn't get the broom. The hood wasn't that bad, it was actually better than I expected it to be. :D

Yea they are pretty sad =/ (stats) I hate when you say "its a democracy blah blah blah the majority wins" it won but 60 votes thats not a majority the majority would be 70% to 30% but both were 32% Jagex should just released both Hood and broom that way they could please 74% of people rather then just 32% of them. (Bet half of them were f2p) F2P don't pay for the game, they should be happy with whatever bone Jagex throws at them. October 23, 200718 yr So, according to you, JimmyMcNabb is F2P? Look up his stats. Not F2P, at least look to see if your statement is true or not.
October 23, 200718 yr I can't say yes or no. If Jagex makes it themselves, they'll get flamed whether the event was good or bad. If we choose it, the event will get negative responses as I've seen. October 23, 200718 yr I prefer a suprise! And I hope during this christmass event there is a very rare tradeable drop. Something like a cracker or Phat.

October 23, 200718 yr Usually when you celebrate Christmas and get a present it's usually a surprise, I don't know of anyone that tells a person what he/she will get at christmas. I do not want a Guaranteed Content Poll. Having this poll will only create another F2p vs P2p Flame war just like the hallowe'en Poll created. Christmas = Surprises = More Fun!
October 23, 200718 yr Its a loose loose situation for Jagex. If they dont, people will flame cause it was rubish. If they do, people will flame cause its rubish and not what they wont. If im honest im suprised Jagex havnt packed the game in from all the abuse they get of the imature kids.
October 23, 200718 yr IMO i think that Jagex should surprise us, because it's nice to have a surprise now and again, and really whatever they do im happy with because it really doesnt matter that much to me. However, i doubt this will be the case as alot of people wont like what-ever the surprise might be and there is garunteed to be alot of flaming, so i think that there will be a poll, because if people dont like it then its tough as the majority of players voted otherwise. P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. That's one of the cons you just have to play with if you don't feel like having 1 bigmac meal less per month.
October 23, 200718 yr Why don't they just picked the top two votes? That would be over 70% of all people who voted. Then most people would be happy, and there would be less flaming. October 23, 200718 yr if we get another stupid hat like the reindeer then no. i'd say voting with more options then holloweens.
October 23, 200718 yr Should they? Idk, I have mixed feelings about it. Will they? No, it takes a good few months to create it and its now too late for them to get the poll up.
October 24, 200718 yr If f2p get to vote no Members only Since when were holidays "members only"? I'll tell you...never. No one player here has the right to say that Jagex should make holidays a members-only event, or that members should vote and decide the item/fate of an entire holiday. If you're making a feature for all players to enjoy, why would you get the opinion of the smaller group (as it stands, Freeplay > Members in terms of accounts)? Can I remind you the hood won by 60 something votes? And about the hood... looks so similar to Void hood what a surprise wooah.... By my math, the hood won by a fair bit more than 60 votes. Pull up that vote box and do the math again, if you please. I'd do it for you, but you need the practice anyway. ;) Either way it still won. Like JimmyMcNabb said, it won; doesn't matter if it's by 1 point or 100, it won. Live with it. No. With f2p the majority of runescape they have the upper hand and since they don't get Hoods in game and we do they wanted a hood yet most members wanted something else. It'd just be a f2p dictatorship disappointing the 1 m paying customers. I'd say this is the first case when the customer is actually wrong. Just because you pay does not entitle you to be a spoiled brat when freeplay finally gets their voice heard (and no, they don't get heard often). Besides, I'm okay with going with what the majority decides; that 1 million estimate sure as hell doesn't include me. Its a loose loose situation for Jagex. If they dont, people will flame cause it was rubish. If they do, people will flame cause its rubish and not what they wont. If im honest im suprised Jagex havnt packed the game in from all the abuse they get of the imature kids. It's always been lose-lose for Jagex. People just can't be content with what they get, or what is given to others. It's always going to be the "spotlight-must-be-on-me-or-I'll-shout" mentality, and the only way that this would be resolved would be to skip another Christmas. :-k Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
