You do know how the ring works, right?

 

 

 

If you don't, let me summarize: The ring will only activate if a hit knocks you below 10% of your remaining hitpoints, but does not knock you out, meaning if you had 4 or 5 or even 8 hitpoints remaining, it would activate.

 

 

 

I'm figuring you didn't know, so keep in mind that knowledge is power. The KB exists for a reason; go study what items you have and know what they do before ranting about a feature that doesn't exist in the first place.

What killed you?

Rings of life are there to help you, not garantee you a win. if you are not good enough the ring will not make you win.

You should actually know when it activites before whining about it. Also for about 5k, many people have been spared death.

My ROL has saved me numerous times. But i have also been killed with it on a few occasions.

 

It saves me more than it lets me die though.

ROL probably gives you a 50/50 chance of surviving most of the time. 99% against some monsters (like lessers) when you are a very high level. (110+)

the thing about it is, though, it has to be below 10%..about 7 for me. Not many monsters I would use a rol against would hit me to that range.

You should avoid dying whenever you can and only hope for rol to save should you lag/disconnect out of game while fighting a high lvl monster at last resort. :?

Yeah, because amulets, capes, and certain fashion items have level requirements :roll:

 

 

 

BTW, the 1 million mark for combat stats is 65 for str, 62 for attack, and 58 for def. So he could have lost rune and maybe a dragon weapon.

 

 

 

On topic: You should know that the ring of life is your last defense. When going into a dangerous situation you should have food, a one click teleport, and any other items necessary for your survival in that particular area. The ROL can be a lifesaver if all else fails, but you should NOT depend on it to save you 100% of the time.

On topic, there are certain times when RoL activites. And maybe you got unlucky and it didn't activate. But for 5k, people have been spared millions...

ROL owns with 90+ hp tbh, but i mean you just have to be careful.

You should have known that there not a garuntee. If someone can hit more than 10% of your hitpoints than they can kill you without activating it. I cheacked, your hitpoint level can't be more than 63 because you arent on the highscores. And 10% 63 63 is 6.3. So basicly if your hit 7 at 7 hp you will die. Or less if your levels lower. It's a nice thing to have, it realy can help, but dont rely on it. Just have it there incase all your efforts to stay alive fail. It is a last resort only.

It will save u when you get 10% HP but if your say at 11% and thats how much the enemy hits you for, it will NOT save you.

Bring a different method of teleporting, such as a teletab.

as other mentions, the ring activates only whne you reach 10% of your health or lower, ie: say you had only 15\80 health, if the monster hits a 7, then your ring will teleport you to wherever your respawn place is (fally, lumb, cammy) and disappear. tbh i think a recoil works a lot better.

Bring a tablet too

Well there's your problem... You forgot to chant the magic words, do the rain dance, and sacrifice a firstborn calf.

It also needs to be remembered that a ring of life will not work in level 30 wilderness or higher.
