Arkan had a great connection and i believe a different Java as he could 2 square a NW/SE catch whereas something would always prevent me doing this, it was never bad positioning or timing the game itself would just not allow me to catch a straight on those axis - i had to either run paralell, one square them (Also hard with my connection) or follow their line until they went straight for a square and get them then.

 

I know some people had that program 'speed_set' that fiddled the 'fid' variable in-game and made your frame rate go really slow - made catching somewhat easier, if not a little weird, and 2 sq'ing NW/SE was possible.

Perhaps it was simply that then... I still wouldn't judge him for this, if i had known about it i probably would have used it myself - I don't see why a flaw in the game should have stopped us being able to catch those directions in the first place, if someone (3rd party) was able to fix this... Why could Jagex not?

I feel like I just wasted 25 seconds signing in and typing this and I realize it's been 5-7 years but you shouldn't even be close to mentioned. You hung around some of the good pkers but you weren't really known. You started late and you were level 70-80 the majority of the time you played runescape. I'm sure you didn't kill me, swifty, adx, arkan, zorro, kdog, any other good pker.

Na you're right I was a latecomer to the Main scene of things but I promise I held my own with my 300-400+ sets and probably the only person that could confirm that would be Oergg lol.

The guy is a modern day hero. Also, BS Arkan did autocatch, I know this for a fact. As to whether he stopped with magic or not I honestly have no idea.

It's a good way to see who's still around from the old school. Still alot of old faces i haven't talked too in alot of years.

Killermandie was nasty! DSM, Adx1, LLama0 were all good. Man I can't remember that one group of asians but they were hilarious because they were so bad, war gto, wildflowers maybe? can't remember but there was a group that was horrible lol

kryptix autocaught and pretty much hacked half of runescape so ya I'd take him off that list lol

i was seriously never nervous when one of their group (or all of them) attacked me.

guys like bs_arkan and snake_slava always had catch on me so I would have to actually do a good run for it.

 

but the asian cats were just really entertaining, lol.

Towards the end the PID thing kind of ruined PK'ing. People would log in/out 100 times so they'd have low ass ping to catch everyone. They should have had it where you could catch anyone regardless, if you knew how to.

Must say I enjoyed reading this topic.

Must say I was surprised to see Eugene Ru being mentioned as much as he was in this topic, because I used to fight him a lot and half of the times he ended up x'ing out vs Ice warriors (even tho I was only 98 combat ;) :P )

Birdi, a very good pker, except he NEVER caught me and used to growl because I could run a good diagonal, and type fast..so I would chat to him ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the way down to Edge:p In the end, we became friends:) Let's face it, it's impossible to resist your intended victim when she tells you jokes all the way there.

 

Even though all you pkers would fight and argue, I really thought you were all nice guys - well you were to me anyway:) Purity never let me go in wild with him because instead of any fighting going on, I'd be standing there chatting with his enemies.

but i'd say birdi, who also hung out with us at hobs (with katalina2 occasionally) was a better pker than any of those three.

 

 

 

And adx I don't think we ever faught because I really only remember struggling to get away from zar and i wicked i. Max always attacked me but i always beat him so I guess I don't know how good he is (even though we was about 15 levels higher lol)
