Training Combat is impossible; too crowded

Featured Replies

Let's train combat. Members training should much less crowded than F2P.

I heard Bandits is great exp. Let's go there! 2 level 120's and 1 level 110's in Guthans.

Backup plan #1:

I heard Yaks is great exp. Let's go there! 2 level 100's and a cannon.

Backup plan #2:

I heard Rock Crabs is great exp. Let's go there! 5 level 60-80's and a cannon.

I heard Experiments is great exp. Let's go there! 10 level 70's and a cannon.

I heard Flesh Crawlers and Giant Spiders is great exp. Let's go there! 10 level 70-120's.

OK I give up. I'll kill Chicken. 4 level 3's collecting feathers.

Switch Worlds. Let's go. See above.

go to lesser known training spots?

  • Author

Lesser known spots give inferior exp. :uhh:

When I was trying to get 90 combat and 70 defense, I was at orges. Took me about a week to achieve it because I took my time with it and used a lesser known spot over away from the main crowd. Just look around, people often choose closer known spots than someplace new to them.

Currently Going for...

99 firemaking

Current Progress-76/99

Tips: Hop to medium-high populated worlds. Trainers generally choose low pop worlds, so avoid em!

Keep hopping til you find an empty world. It will happen, just takes a few tries. Stay away from experiments, and rock crabs. They are rubbish at your level.

Rock Crabs and Experiments are infested by pures. Do Slayer.

On the freeworlds, the most you'd probably see at Giant Spiders at peak is 7; on average 1-2 excluding yourself. Also, the back room (pure giant spider) is usually empty because people don't like walking that far back.

Ice Giants in level 48 wilderness are beautiful too, but since I've never been a member I don't know how dangerous it is there for you guys.

I am a tree.

Go to a german world. You won't be able to understand anything, but they are usually less crowded.

GENIUS!! Thanks

I will try this.

Do you see the problem with all of those training spots? They're places that players use to grind levels without giving a damn about drops or other levels or anything like that. Stop trying to train like a pure; you've got much more potential than that.

Try training Slayer. Bloodvelds, Abberants, and Dust Devils all give fantastic experience, and many times aren't too crowded, either.

...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.

Lesser known spots give inferior exp. :uhh:

Myth.

There are dozens of excellent training monsters, but few people seek them out, rather just crowding the same handful of spots that everyone tells everyone else to use.

Thanks all. I will try Slayer.

The reason I stopped Slayer was because I was assigned to Fire Giants. Brimhaven Dungeon: 2 level 120's

Waterfall Dungeon: 6 Black D'hide rangers

And guthix121, please delete your post so no one will know that trick.

Currently have the entire level 3 Stronghold to myself.

=P~

Typically, even if I had to fight through the rangers, I'd kill for a Fire Giant task. 111 Slayer experience a pop, and I usually get stuck with 179 or so.

Trust me, when you reach 85 Slayer (where I'm at now), you'll fight to the death for assignments like those.

There are alot of great spots but people will fed you the whole Rock Crabs and Experiments yadda yadda rubbish. But really just train slayer alot more interesting and fun. :)

EDIT: I'm cuddly bear fur now!

Yea slayer is the best way to go especially with a black mask, which is worth the 400k or so it costs.

Haha yeah I know. All those suckers are getting bad exp at crowded training spots while I'm sitting at my training spot getting best melee exp in game besides PC, completely and utterly alone. :P

What's better? good experience at a crowded place? or slightly less experience at a not crowded place?

I can't see why you're surprised that the most training spots attract a crowd.

Same, but 88k an hour? I've never heard of exp that high besides with PC :-s

I get around 67k

That's wayyyy exaggerated :s i don't even get that super setted with my stats, if the tif name hes using is the acc he's training on that's total bull, but nayway the point remains - the "best" spots are usually not the best spots at all, simply because everybody thinks they are the best spots and crowds them.

maybe train slayer along with combat?

You are not alone, Our Father, God will always be with you.

Yaks are not crowded, and even if they were, they respawn as fast as cows do. :boohoo: :boohoo:

Strange, I rarely see anyone at flesh crawlers with me.
