Hey tifers! Let's take a look at the positive side to the wilderness update! Feel free to add to it!

 

 

 

Pros.

 

- Abyss Runecrafting just got easier (not sure if the spirit monsters can get you in 5 wildy, need a clarification)

 

- Now harder to loose your cakes while training agility!

 

- RWT STOPPED

 

-Clues safer

At least there isn't someone slitting their rists over the recent update *excuse me for political incorrectness*

 

 

 

Abyss rcing is much safer now even though the introduction of revenant ghosts has added to the mixture.

 

 

 

Wilderness agility will be much easier as well like you said and also clues will be much safer.

Another pro would be, the fact that you can technically go into the wild with a rare and not be killed.

How many of these Pro/Con threads must people make...?

Pros: Less bots/RWT (I guess), there is no temptation to cease grinding to go pk for an hour or so = quicker levelling (can't believe thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a pro!). Tons of people quitting and hosting large drop parties = lots of farewells and catching up with people I haven't see for ages.

 

 

 

Con: Tons of people quitting as thier prime reason for playing was to solo pk. Demand for pking supplies will reduce significantly, which will further reduce the prices for those items in GE. With floor prices in effect, this means that for many people they will NEVER be able to sell products made through skilling, or items required for skilling (food, pots, armour, weapons etc). Few people will take in darkbow, Godswords, 3rd age etc into Bounty Hunter, so expect prices on those to drop significantly also. Great KOing weapons are often not the best training weapons, and with solo pking dead, the best training weapons will be the main weapons in demand.

Now a bank in the "wild".

-safe green slaying

 

-safe kbd and chaos element hunting

 

-no more being pk'd while getting a god spell/cape

-safer obseilk(spellcheck) runs (air and earth are in the wild)

 

-safe druid killing under edge,same as black demons and a few slayer task

and all the new monsters really make it safe, especially since they hit 20+ heal themselves teleblock and attack with mage/range/melle

Just went to wild.

 

For f2p'ers, those revenanted, quite rare though (i got a lvl 105 after 15 min wandering around in wild), are FAR MORE DEADLY then any player you can meet. He hit me a few 25s and goodbye bedman :-).

 

 

 

In p2p, we are talking about something else. I think i'd rather meet a revenant than a guy in full ahrim with dds and barrages.

You'd be pretty angry if you were like me and spent ages training up a pure only for the wild to be ruined -.-

you guys keep saying you cant lose cakes in "wild" or you can bring rares to "wild". its not the ****ing wild anymore...its like everywhere else excpet every once in a while theres a lame ghost that attacks you...games done.goodbye runescape, i enjoyed you :boohoo:

what will you do when they take away your favourite part of the game????

With pking in the wild over, the wild is just a large place with almost no purpose, besides having a couple areas that have worth, such as the rune rocks, kbd, bouny hunter, etc..... Now there is a whole area of unused space that is just taking up room in the game. I doubt very many people are going to go to the ruined castle just to hang out, now it is going to be abandoned and taking up space.

 

 

 

 

 

Bounty Hunter on the other hand is good. If you get a team in there, with a lot of binders, then you can get rune kills really easy. Clan wars are also good, except that you dont lose items.

I play CS nowadays anyway 8-)

 

Also, as stated in another thread, Jagex is losing $70,000 CDN anually or something. That's a whole lot better than losing $100,000 in the span of a few months, considering about 20,000 paying members (or more) may quit.

 

 

 

P.S: If you're fed up with RuneScape, quit. Play some other game.
