The Fall of Jagex

"Lies, damned lies and statistics"

The numbers playing RS have dropped by much that appears to be truish and the numbers playing this morning were definitely lower than normal.

There were an incredibly large number of bots engaged in multiple different areas. They are mainly gone.

Many players have quit and many others will, but were these possibly the owners of the bots.

Merchants in the old sense are gone but progress does this in all forms of life (seen any club wielding cavemen recently?)

Pkers are gone but surely only temporarily as we need them to consume resources

RS dead? Oh please its just changed!!! Stop all this futile argument it really is just a game. Anyone still enjoy playing the original space invaders?? No? Change is necessary

Consider an apple. It can ripen, and after a while if nobody eats it, it will rot. Ripening makes the fruit edible, while rotting makes it inedible. Rot and ripening are both types of changes. Yes, change is necessary to make the apple good to eat, but it is also turns it bad as well. RuneScape is an apple. It is rotting. That is not a necessary change, and certainly one we should try to stop.

Wow just stop complianing, if you want the old wild back then dont complian at us. We cant and problely wont help you because we have no need for old wild. Talk to jagex not us!

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Until the day when I cannot log in because Jagex could no longer afford to run even one server, Runescape is not dead, and Jagex has not fallen.

When that day comes, you can gloat, complain and whine all you want. Until that day, kindly shut up.

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

Gladly, if someone will port my idea to the forums.

Jagex won't fall.. not for a while anyway. Not everyone plays just for merchanting, staking or pking. Many people play for fun and aren't going to quit because of Jagex removing a few things from the game. I certainly won't anyway <.<

As someone who has been playing this game far longer than most here I agree with the OP. It does extra damage for pure f2p players like me.

The wilds is way worse than it was. I prefer the damn autoers back, at least they weren't as irritating as the revenants.

Closer to:

One bad apple can spoil the bunch.

Jagex had some bad apples, and removed them. Sadly some good apples got removed to. But I'd rather have a bushel missing 5 or 6 apples, then the whole bunch.

Interesting. As a pure that didn't care about the other 90 percent of runescape you don't CARE about the bots.

Well, as a skiller I don't care about YOUR 10 percent of runescape that the update killed.

Maybe next time instead of dismissing others concerns out of spite, you can try to reason with them.

I agree with you. There is still loads of people playing this awesome game. It would take much more than a few updates to get me to quit, for example.
