Jagex knows what their doing!

Even with all of those players complaining about Jagex and the new updates, I've always thought they were doing a good job at handling the many issues they need to adress. The new list of planned updates are all pratical, helpful, and in direct response to complaints. They have gone through a tough time, but handled it gracefully. Compliments to you, Jagex! =D>

It's easy for you to say that now. What you're asking them to do is predict the future.

76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007

379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007

*cracks whip and winds baby* jagex perdict the future! or else!!!

but of course, I understand. They are doing their best. But players fail to see past the 3 line sentence on a new update on the runescape first page :uhh:

I dont think Jagex owes us anything. With all the insults they got, and all the bull, why should they try to appease the PKing population? Why not just let em throw a hissy fit and leave?

Because we know that destroying the Wilderness, while A solution, was not THE solution, and could have been implemented without hurting PKers had it been given more thought. So I believe that there is some kind of other reason for removing the Wilderness that Jagex has not been telling us about.

i believe jagex knows what they are doing. all of these updates are easily adaptable to regular players. we actually have a stable, un-manipulative fair, economy. pures can't pk anymore, well, you should have thought about that before you made a NON-JAGEX SUPPORTED build. bots are gone, demand is high, REAL players are making money now.

even this will come to pass....

Fox: "That's your solution for everything..."

Peppy: "Just press Z or R twice!"

Define a real player.
If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

someone who isn't botting, someone playing to play, not make real cash. i was making a reference to how bots and farmers were able to sell amazingly low since they worked 24/7, making chopping yews longer and harder than it should be. now with only like 4 real players opposed to 20 bots to a tree, this is somewhat less stressfull now. players don't have all day, bots did.

why, what did you think i meant? :?

I agree with that. But since Jagex needs money to tick, I don't think they have much choice :( . I have faith in them anyway - it's great that they're able to work the way they do while having an army of angry players, most of whom who can't spell, bombard them with insults and all that.

Stop trying to find something out of nothing. Jagex made a mistake- they didn't mean to make their players unhappy, what good business would? You can't blame them for not being able to see into the future.

What did they think was gonna happen? "Lets take away the wilderness, noone will care"

This was an easily forseeable circumstance, hell even an autistic chimp could have had enough forsight to know these actions would piss people off

Bounty hunter was a good idea but it need to be singgle player.

The revenent ghosts are way over powered.

The 3k limit will ruin monster hunting

sure these were good ideas but Jagex could of thought of them a bit more thouroughly (sp) But im looking forward to the new updates coming out.

you can't really criticize something you aren't trying to help. of course people would be mad, but do you see most of them trying to fix it? NO! you see them whining wanting everything back the way RuneScape was. well guess what, that is a SMALL minority of know-nothing players. they don't care about autoers, then they don't care about RuneScape and should not be taken seriously. the people jagex should listen to are those who actually seem to care about the game in the first place. not the common gamer that's here today and on another mmo tomarrow, but the diehard fans.

basically, put up or shut up.

Go ahead and try to help jagex, see if they will listen to the "people who want to help" go ahead and try. Ill wait. no really i will.

Did you help them yet?

how about now?

yeah, didnt think so because even if any regular player tried to help jagex they wouldnt listen, best you could get is an automated response saying "Thanks for your input, it is truly valued"

if they would've taken the time to make this information available about what their plans were (instead of blindsiding everybody) and gathered player suggestions in the first place it might've saved a little bit of the grief. also, if some players would've been mature and made suggestions and complaints decently instead of trying to burn the forums to the ground things would've worked out more smoothly.

i am glad to see things could possibly come back together, but both sides played this one out poorly to begin with.

well, explain to me why i would either criticize or try to change something i don't have a problem with. besides jagex have allready been taking player opinions. several players claim to have had their ideas all ready taken into consideration. the typical stereotype that a game company wanting to ruin their own game is obviously false...

and to jp7725 - doing that would have given bots ample time to move from runescape to another game. this update did blindside everyone, including the autoers. in simple terms, the bots got hit by the door on their way out.

Don't act like you know much about this. You blindly follow JaGEx, believing every move of theirs is the greatest. Honestly, these updates are completely idiotic. In my opinion, they're just trying to cut their losses and prepare for whatever new games they're putting out. Ever heard of RuneScape Classic?

You're completely entitled to your own opinion over this, of course. That's just mine.

And I don't want attempt to change it. The way I see it, I'd have to destroy the other games. Hacking into JaGEx's database and corrupting every file of every game of theirs excluding RuneScape would not be an easy task. :P

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
