Although you could probably run up the kills on the minions, they have bad drops and a very low rate on armor. Graardor has a way higher drop rate and much better "bad" drops. - For Slayer, yes as you save money on food/Prayer pots/Guthan usage. For Bandos World 6, no as you need the power of AGS to get a good chance at kills. However I believe Bandos W6 has become a waste of time due to more and more AGS users. In closing, the Sara spec does the same thing from hitting 1-20, healing 10 HP and 5 Prayer, more if it's above a 20 hit.
