Hi tipiters; with jagex's recent updates; it makes items alot harder to transfer; so why do we need bankpins?because if your hacked, worst they can do is use runes...? or put your stuff in drop party (which i see pointless waste of time to hack someone just to do that, unless you hate them. :evil: :evil: )

If they like your account, they'll keep it for themselves. Or, they can just hack and ban it for pure spite.

NOt only do we need bank pins we need a pin at the loggin screen.

 

 

 

 

 

If someone hacks ur account with a keylogger. They won't know your pin so your valuables are safe. The only way that GLod traders are going to make cash now is by selling accounts.

RWT'ers will move onto other things, such as levelling accounts on your behalf and stealing accounts outright and selling those. We probably need bank pins more than ever now.

Although I agree that hacking for profit is impossible, unless you sell the account, the vast majority of cases are when the hacker just cleans out the account by dropping the items, or tried to get the account banned. There are things which can be removed now, such as Pure Essence and a few of the more annoying variety of random events, but this isn't one of the things which is now freestanding and pointless due to the unbalanced trade update.

If we really still needed them; jagex should make them 3 digits now...or 2..

It's already been said above, I believe. If a hacker gets on your account, he or she can drop all your items to merely annoy you.

YES! i got hacked yesterday and i didn't have a bank pin they dropped my fighter torso, fighter helm, some of my void clothing....and they even shood awy my fat hellcat :cry: they took the rest of the stuff though...but if i had a bankpin then that wouldent of happened

My question is why don't hackers move on to other games? Sure I guess they get their weird high from hacking someone and dropping the stuff, some kind of accomplishment, but why hack on this game? There's no tangible benefit for them, so after that first hack, why continue hacking on runescape? There are other games where they'd at least get something out of it.

Well since the option is there to use your bankpin or not, your choice. What would be the point in removing it from the game?

But they'll most likely drop all your items, just so that you don't get them back.

Even if there is no use for a bank pin anymore because of the new rules i would still keep it for security purposes. I wouldn't risk it. Sure it would be hard to drop all of my items because of their high market value but i'd rather have it just in-case some goes crazy on my account.
