compfreak847 Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Yup, I remember the 5 year thing myself, at that point it would either be phased out, replaced by Mechscape, or upgraded to RS3, possibly as a console or download game (Yes, I'm sure someone will quote with a long argument about how their specialty is java etc. etc. etc., but I read an article about Jagex considering Runescape a a console game (They decided against it, but whos to say they might try it 5 years from now, with who-knows-how-different gameplay and graphics) A basic rule of thumb: as long as they are making money off it, it will stay around.
