I never did complete it, and recently I got all the way to the road before the Elite 4 before I stopped playing again. I just want a remake on the DS, and I will be happy. Oh god please. Leafgreen and Firered were special for pokemons tenth aniversary I think, but still, a G/S/C remake would be awesome, especially if they kept the whole kanto/johto combination. Doubt they will make a remake, the r/b/y remake was mainly for the fact you couldn't get past 200 pokemon in ruby and sapphire plus the gba games arn't compatible with gbc games. Evidently there is supposed to be a video game announcement in the next coro coro. It could be a g/s remake. Don't shoot the messenger if I'm wrong though. I just condensed what I read on serebii. Alg Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 The Serebii announcement: In The Games Department New Game Announcement Earlier today, in the Pokémon Sunday variety show and it's website, it was announced that, during their episode next week, they shall reveal a world-exclusive bit of news. Their website states this will be done within the Game Area of their show so it is more than likely a brand new game. There is much speculation as to what the game is, with the general consensus being a Gold/Silver remake which does match up with some new figures of Chikorita, Cyndaquil & Totodile being released in Japan on September 19th 2009, but nothing is confirmed yet, so if you see other sites reporting it as a specific game, remember it is not confirmed that it is that game. CoroCoro is also due out soon after that so that should also contain information on the game announcement. RayOxide Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Lrn2hax Charizard for Icebeam. It's kinda obvious that the old GSC had the best map, but the WORST storyline. It was way too quick. A remake where you gotta go through alot more stuff would be better imo. You can basically get to the 6th gym in 2 hours without hacks. Granted there was a storyline after it that had to do with Kanto, but I'd want a Johto game, ONLY. And a safari zone, not just bug thing :D I dont need a siggy no moar. It's my favorite of the series, and with the batteries failing on all of the old games, it is beginning to become impossible to play them. It was limited to pretty much gym leaders only in Silver/Gold because of the limited memory of GB cartridges, but they really don't have that excuse this time around. They should at least put in the islands introduced in Fire Red/Leaf Green, and some sort of battle frontier. Mainly because I never watched any of the series other than Kanto and a little bit of Johto, but the paragraphs I did read are pretty intriguing and actually make sense.
