Ugh, I want to play my Pokemon games, but my DS and Game Boy broke. #-o I guess I'll wait till my birthday to get another DS. I remember getting a Mewtwo in Leafgreen, though. I can't remember if I beat the Elite Four in Diamond. :-k

Anyway, I'll be playing Pokemon again in July.

Funny article that I found: http://www.trsrockin.com/missingno4.html

It explains missingno down to a science and how to get many pokemon simply by having a specific name.

That's interesting. I always thought the missingno trick was cool, I would always get 99 rare candy's. :twss:

I actually checked in Pokemon Stadium long ago. The actual amount is around 150-60, or so it says.

Yeah, but in the game the maximum always said 99 I believe. Thinking about it I remember it used to stay at 99 for a while, then start moving down towards 0. I have fond memories of that trick, and I am mad they fixed it in yellow, as that is the only game that still works. My red quit working years ago.

Milotic if you can get one.

I was thinking milotic, alot of the time too.

But, I noticed that Whiscash and Swampert have only one weakness - being grass, so I was thinking those too - I have ruby/emerald/sapphire somewhere in my house and can probably get a mudkip.

Also kinda wanted pokemon with 2 good types that contribute eachother.

(not like say psychic and fighting, where you need equal sp and norm atk to be semi-decent.

But ty o_o

I dont need a siggy no moar.

The latter are much harder to get - and I lack defence in my party, and will with my new one.

But with skill link, Cloyster has a 125 base attack and 100 accuracy physical normal attack :o

Does it seem right to lose rapidash for sneasel? I got 7th badge now.

And Weaville is an EPIC EPIC pokemon.

Or should I swap for abomasnow? Maybe for gengar?

POSSIBLY EVEN SOMETHING ELSE!! Maybe vespiquen back

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Are you specifically looking for a water type? Because there are some ice type pokemon that are godly in defence.

Me? No im looking for a water type, or an ice/water.

Basically, I used to love cloyster, and I lack a defencive pokemon in my party, and with skill link cloyster has a 125 base shot, and a few 100s aswell.

because you posted i'll re-add this thing:

If you're going to take out Weavile then put in Mamoswine or Walrein. The HP and power should make up for the loss of speed.

This is national dex party.

Im working out post-national.

So I need pokemon I can get now :?

Gyarados + Marowak = lol

Marowak with lightningrod = no electric attacks, thus no weakness for gyarados.

Thick club on marowak = x2 attack, decent defence aswell.

O_o

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Ray, since you're really just going through in-game, bothering with defensive Pokemon is a waste of time. You'll get through much easier with a solid offensive team with good type coverage.

Here are the one's I'd recommend:

Infernape (Starter)

Pikachu w/Light Ball if you can get one (Trophy Garden, light ball is held by wild Pikachu occasionally)

Weavile (Near the Ice city)

Those 3 work very well. Also, can you get Abra early? If so, Alakazam would be a great choice too, has speed and power. Staraptor isn't bad either, and Haunter/Gengar would be great if you don't mind the slightly redundant coverage with Alakazam. Of course you might want to save a slot for an HM slave.

If you want a water type, unless you have the patience to try for Milotic, you really don't have many choices. Gyarados is there if you're willing to use him, fast and powerful. Starmie would be a good choice if you could get it but I don't remember if it appears pre-national dex.

Soma dont you read anymore?

Im past 7 badges.

I also hate infernape.

And gyarados.

I was working out a decent team; not just for in-game, but for practicing my OWN techniques for online, (thus, not using techniques people already use) or against other people. And so far - Octillery has been a great ater type.

Psybeam

Aurora beam

Bubblebeam/Surf

and something i havent thought of yet.

P.S.

Pikachu fails forever :P

I dont need a siggy no moar.

- Tyranitar

- Feraligatr

- Maganium

- Raichu

I'll post the levels if I can find batteries for my Game Boy Color...

I will also try to generate a Celebi then =P~

Online is pretty much in-game unless you're going into meta-game tactics. Fast, powerful offense, forget about defense since it won't make a difference anyways. Realize that in-game doesn't refer to fully in-game play, but to anything outside of competitive play.

And Pikachu fails? Seriously? With Light ball, Pikachu has higher attack than Groudon (who's highest stat is 150 Base Attack) and almost as high as Slaking and Regigigas (160 Base Attack), AND higher special attack than Alakazam (who has 135 Base Special Attack), and barely lower than Kyogre (2 points) (150 Base Special Attack).

This, and 90 Speed, which is pretty substantial, as well as access to:

Thunderbolt (No, really?)

Volt Tackle (Don't use this on a Blissey)

Surf

Grass Knot

Brick Break

Thunder Punch

As well as various stat ups, and HP for some Ice coverage if desired.

The only thing holding Pikachu back is the lack of choice in items, the weakness to priority attacks which are rampant due to Scizor, and the speed-oriented meta game.

Do you actually have WiFi? If so, I'll get a team ready sometime and play against you once... there's a difference between trying something new, and doing something silly like carrying Psybeam and Bubblebeam.

EDIT: Was that Octillery set a joke? Or did you seriously list Aurora Beam (65 attack, 10% of Attack -1) over Ice Beam (90 Attack, 10% of freeze) and Psybeam (65 Attack, 20% confuse) over Psychic (90 Attack, 10% of Special Defense -1)? Did you know switching removes stat changes and confusion? >.<
