Make a maze in custom games and play it on WiFi.

With 2 holes on the top of the screen and 1 on each side.

It's fun =D

I don't think you can play custom stages online.

And the best stage ever is one with two conveyor belts leading into a pit. You also make a platform under the conveyor belts. What you do is make it two player, but have player two sit on the platform under the conveyor belt. Then you pick Pikachu and set sandbags to high. You sit in the pit and spam down smash for some nice rewards :D.

Stickers too ;O. I made each round 8 minutes, and I got around 4-10 CDs and over 50 stickers each time. I don't think time really matters though. And you won't get any CDs if you already have all the ones that drop. I also noticed that the more "fresh" the sandbag is, the more it drops.

By kents post i thought you could do custome stages on wifi.

And how does the CD thing work?

I dont need a siggy no moar.

This is just one of the many designs out there.

Mine was personally this sort of structure:

=>=        =<=      =>= - Rightwards running treadmill

  |      |         =<= - Leftwards running treadmill

  |      |         |   - Wall

  |      |

   =>==<=

There has to be some sort of winning conditions too. If you leave with "No Contest" all the items gained are lost.

Kent, I don't see why Norfair should be banned. The lava really isn't that hard to avoid, and it provides a decent stage for characters with tether recoveries.

The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

People who play games like this for money dont like hazards cause they can change the game completely.

They dont understand the meaning of gamble. :roll:

Oh, you mean like Pokeballs and Assist trophies?

Some stages (like Spear Pillar) are banned because the stage interactions are just way too one-sided. If you're stuck in the bottom corridor and the beam comes straight across, you can't avoid it and the other player's just effectively been given a life, which is ridiculous.

If the hazard on Norfair was only the vertical column coming in from the side I'd probably agree that it shouldn't be banned, but it's the wall that comes from the background that earns its banning. It's so easy to avoid simply by jumping high enough, but it wastes about ten seconds and it's generally a nuisance.

Ginger, the lava from the back in Norfair can be dodged by going into the tube, airdodging, rolling, spotdodging, jumping high enough, or just shielding. It's not that big of a problem.

You can shield the beam :o. For stages, we can have two lists and each person can ban one stage per list. One list would have starters, and the second list would have the rest of the stages. Dave's stupid rule will also be in effect.

Anybody want to Brawl?

My point is that it's a nuisance in a game that tests people on how they fight against one another, not how well they respond to the scenarios around them. I'd play Mario Party for the latter.

I'll agree, some of the stages they banned (like MK Circuit etc.) didn't deserve banning since you can still fight on them despite the dangers going on. It's surely not that much of an advantage camping on Mario Circuit...

By the way, I just looked on the Smash Wiki, and Norfair isn't a banned stage. What are we arguing about?

Haha! Mario Party... Good times good times 8-)

Caxis, please dont' put me on the draw, if you were going to do so it'll be giving my oponent a bye. Maybe I'll participate next month...

btw is Warioware a banned stage? I hate those minigames... -.-

Mario Circuit is banned because it's a walk off. Instant win for DDD, Falco, and easy wins with characters with strong back throws.

Add to that the really annoying factors. Castle siege isn't banned. Some stages are added to add a lot of variety, but we don't need that much here... so why not ban the stupid yet legal stages?

That's exactly what I thought when I was researching it, but it's not the reasoning given in the Smash Wiki. It's also at the tournament host's discretion. All in all, I cannot make any sense over that decision. :|

How about let's just use Final Destination and Battlefield for everything. :?

(Okay, okay, those stages have flaws too...But who cares)

How about we just use the starter stages?

Battlefield

Final Destination

Smashville

Yoshi's Island

Castle Siege

Delfino

Halberd

Lylat Cruise

Pokémon Stadium 1

In my opinion, these stages should be legal.

Not norfair and not Brinstar, you can't even see snakes mines and C4's on Brinstar, and we don't need to make it any easier for Kent to win... :roll: Lava on both stages = unneeded annoyance.

Anyone want to brawl?

@the pokeball and assist trophy post; I dont mind items but it is a huge change - these are usually hard to avoid whereas 90% of the stages hazards are avoidable easily.

The game is a gamble, it was kinda made like that for a reason and people go out and call it too easy to win due to hazards.

And imo, if your opponent knocks you into the Chimera on NPC, they have skill.

Same with [bleep]e into brinstar liquid and then aerial ko.

Hazards really kinda do need some type of skill to use as an advantage.

It's not really skill if they get a hit on you when you have high percentage, or they have priority over your moves (i.e. Snake). Hazards are meant for fun play, not serious play. Same with pokeballs and assit trophies, they are based on luck, and meant for fun play, not serious play.
