it might just be my stupidity, but i dont seem to find a way to make offline brawls to make teamplays. or does that only work with human players, not cpu's?

If you want to improve, don't train on CPUs. Ever.

Go on a standard Brawl like you normally would on an offline match, but at the top left, click the "Standard Brawl". It'll turn into Team Brawl.

I do improve. i get owned so hard im forced to use my dodge and rolls efficiently, and my timing gets more precise. The myth that CPUs are bad is.. just a myth. they're just stupid. like me.

Perhaps I'd agree with you there (not on the stupid bit ). Yours is a growing attitude. There's some Smash Elitists who are sick to death of everyone going crazy about amateurs learning the ATs by watching YouTube videos, when they haven't learned the basics of dodging, spacing, timing or coordination first. You gotta walk before you can run. CPUs are good for the basics.

But as a general rule, use the FF. You can usually tell from someone's profile whether they're good or not. If you get owned, it's all part of the learning process.

You are seriously taking those people too seriously. Do you know why it's not good to fight coms? It's because they're AI is way too stupid, they have inhuman reaction, and are generally too predictable. But, does that mean they are not good to try to test out new advanced techniques to find out they're applications? Or to see how some combos can string together? I would say I do 80% of my practice in melee from coms.

30% Level 3, and 50% Level 9. Am I actually learning how predict and out mindgame? Generally speaking, no. But, it does allow a source of training. In fact, the ONLY source of training in brawl is 1v1, non online.

In melee, theres level 1's, 3's, and practice mode. (Brawl's sucks)

I would like to note that Level 1's and 3's have very unpredictable DI, thus making them a good training source of stringing combo's in melee... in brawl, there are no combos. So, there is no reason to go to practice mode (In melee, it helps to see what "true combos" are. The number on the side actually does show how much hits of that "true combo" you got in.

In conclusion, I would say that ... go coms. (Although in high level play, I would seriously suggest against playing them. I am as good as, if not better technically than a high level player, but my mindgames aren't that godlike... so, until I fight some really good people I can't beat them)
