The lag completely ruined my match with Ginger too, it's because he's in UK and everyone else in USA. I literally could not use short hops, half my aerials turned into smashes, and none of my counters worked correctly. I thought these tournaments were USA only... :\ Anyways, sorry for leaving so abruptly yesterday, Ginger won 3-2, and I had a CB team waiting for me so I had to get off the Wii right away and onto RS. Crazy, I'm guessing I overestimated you or something, because TL has a harder time with lag, and since I have no lag playing you we should live somewhat close to eachother, meaning the lag with Ginger is somewhat comparable. If all he does is spam arrows, how did I manage to 3 stock in 4 times and 4 stock him once? Don't say grenades, those are extremely hard to use in lag, and usually result in blowing up in your face. I would prefer to win the tourney, obviously, but it is unfair that everyone else's games are fine, and all my games (except the one I had with Zeddy, who lives in the UK too) are overwhelmed by lag. I'm inclined to agree with Kent that TL's ATs suffers much more than Ness or Lucas from lag, but that's really a digressed point (RE: Since when have I ever cared about reputation? Seriously). The fact is, TL wipes the floor with Lucas and Ness. That's not just my opinion either, it's 70:30 on TL's match-up thread on Smashboards. The point is we had no idea how bad the lag would be going into this tournament with trans-Atlantic battles, except for one battle between me and mano in the second tournament, where I was the only non-American entrant, which we dismissed at the time as an exception. It was a mistake to allow European entrants. The issue with me and Alex is that the lag was even worse than usual, presumably because of router settings (firewalls etc.) and ISPs. If we can get enough Europeans on TIF to enter, maybe we can have a tourney of our own, but until then, make an American tournament only. As far as this one goes, it's up to you Caxis. Either you accept my resignation (since it came first), or you say Alex's behaviour was tantamount to forfeiture on his part. All else failing, call it a draw on the grounds the fixture couldn't be played, and say we both 'won'. I'd be fine with that.
