Mercifull
So if custom poses are implemented will we be able to use alpha channels in the png? Because otherwise we wont be able to use anti aliased screenshots Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. D. V. Devnull
So if custom poses are implemented will we be able to use alpha channels in the png? Because otherwise we wont be able to use anti aliased screenshots Uh, you do know what an anti-aliased screenshot does when you hit Print Screen, right? :-s Last I checked, the anti-alias is maintained in what is captured. (Unless my memory has gone horribly faulty, which I don't think it has.) This means that when you paste down into a photo-editing (or MS Paint) application, the enhanced quality is maintained. So go ahead and save your anti-aliased screenshots and send them in, for you should have no trouble. 8-) Heck, the quickest way to check what I'm saying is to just take a screenshot and paste into your photo-editing application. After that, save the image in both the Application's Native Format & '.PNG', and then view it any ol' way that you want. :geek: ~D. V. Mercifull
I'm not an idiot Denvull. My point is that when you take a screen shot of something anti aliased and remove the background you are going to be left with a jagged edge because its hard to remove the background Example1 - Non Anti aliased with background removed Example2 - 4x AA If tipit do custom poses and want to make anti aliased images work nicely as poses then they have to allow users to use 24 bit alpha channels in a png instead of the 8 bit png format which is like a gif and only allows one set colour to be transparent. Below is another example. 8-bit 24-bit Unlike some people in this thread i know what i'm talking about. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Danqazmlp
Going by mercifull's post, does that mean if HD poses were subitted, no AA would be the best option. Want to be my friend? Mercifull
However tipit might already be thinking about alpha layers in poses because of the ghostly robes. In which case if we did have custom poses it would be up to the user and their level of skills in photoshop to trace around the character and retain the smooth lines. People might also add a glow to non aa screenshots as part of their custom pose. Provided it is in the required dimensions i dont see any problems here. Lightshayde
That's great! Both f2p and p2p signatures! I don't think any other site has them like that! Great job! Avatar by Unoalexi!
Jimmyw3000
Are we having all pics HD, or just some? cos i'd still like low detail pics on my sigs (call me weird if you must)
Celt23
Whether it's HD or not isn't a big deal IMO. It sounds like a lot of more work after getting the current poses completed which are great already. :

If not that probably should be considered...
MageUK
The old poses that you can see in the earlier sigs will remain. We will of course be accepting new poses once we've launched out. Just a quick update for you guys, because of the custom uploads thing I'm recoding a lot of this and also optimising some of the other stuff. I'm working on this literally every day to try and get it sorted and I'm almost done with the front end that you guys will see. We will be having a moderation queue for the custom uploads. Cheers! OldJoe
Really sweet sigs =) If i decide to use a stat-sig again, i'll sure as hell pick the RSC one! Oh and... Uhm, maybe this is a too late question... But is there any possibility of making one with bunny ears? I can "pose" if this idea is accepted lol.
