Lenin64 Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 When I'm spy, the best word to describe me is "expendable". I;m bad enough that I only get about 1 backstab/sap per life, if even that. But I'm getting better and have had those "awesome!" moments, like backstabbing 2 snipers and a heavy at once in Dustbowl. I call hax. You know what I meant. Command the Murderous Chalices! Ha, did you not hear what I said before? expendable. Last game I played I had 21 kills (15 backstabs) and 30 something deaths. Possibly more deaths. And I wasn't even spy for the first few minutes or so. That's like asking Church to teach you how to use the sniper rifle. He's probably worse than you are. But I can tell you this: get behind them before "joining the fight" and going for the stabbity. As in, near their spawn and move up from there if possible. If not, just behind them where they can't see you uncloaking. Command the Murderous Chalices! Lenin64 Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 Yea. for instance, I was playing granary earlier and liked to disguise as a sniper and hang out on their side of the middle control point, up on the ledge, for awhile until someone came across my field of vision that would be a good target and, if they didn't see me, go for the stab. I usually cloaked around the time I exited my tema's last control point or almst to the middle, then run up my side of the height area until my cloakc got about halfway, then run to their side with the disguise. Everyone expects to see a sniper up there, so it's no problemo. Sometimes. Command the Murderous Chalices! The only classes that constantly gives me trouble is the soldier and other scouts. Pyros, demos, engies (no sentry obviously), spy, and sniper are very easy to kill. Medic and heavy are a little tougher but still easy if you blind-side them and get a nice meatshot. Reasons why I like scout 1) hard to hit 2) can out run any class 3) a good strafe makes it almost impossible for demos to kill you 4) with good aim the scattergun and pistol are extremely deadly while coupled with the scout's speed If you want, I can give you my strategy that I use against all the classes when I play scout. All it was was fall + kill. New server browser, yay or nay guys? I kind of like it, it's pretty clean and the picture of the map is nice :lol: . Yeah much more organised and easier to browse through. And wtf is up with Gold Rush? It's awesome but is it actually a few different maps in one? Gold rush has different gameplay modes which, in turn, are separate maps. A lot of maps are like this.
