March 10, 200917 yr How the hell do you beat guns?! :o Seriously though. MP40 = Meta Knight of CoD5. MP40 = The sawnoff of GTASA. It's quick - powerful, and easy to aim with, thus quick, powerful AND accurate. Something the T100 is aswell, but the MP40 somehow clicks better. So, basically it's overpowered and overused due to the fact. They are overused because they are overpowered. Ipso facto. Tru' dat, bruz. this. honestly its the best gun in game, T100 runs outa ammo far quicker, same with tompson, and for me i like mp40s iron sights better mp-40 is better then the type 100 when your great also, not everyone who uses it sprays and prays.. although i barley use it now because i play hardcore, when i was playing TDM i couldnt ever get more then 45 kills with anything except mp-40, or browning but thats unlocked at 61 so you barley get to use it anyways, anyone good with shotguns? trying to get challanges for them done, only used on asylum so far, but any tips/tricks or what perks to use? Shotgunner here. For perks use grip, Juggarnaut, Last Stand/Steady Aim. Don't go outside ever, stay inside in the hallways. Unfortunatly Treyarch decided not to put any shotgun maps in so the only places you can be good with the shotty is Asylum and Courtyard.
March 10, 200917 yr Shotgunning is fun. It definitely feels more involved than regular playing. Although there aren't many maps specifically for that kind of combat, you can improvise. Castle can be good with a shotgun, as well as Dome. Makin and Makin Day might be good, too. Generally, for a shotgun class, Grip is iffy. It's up to preference, but for a shotgun class I usually have a Bazooka with it. If I'm trying to get shotgun challenges, I'll add on Grip. If you're using the shotgun, you'll be mainly patrolling a few areas. Be careful when entering stretched-out areas, as you'll probably get shot down. Work on ambush techniques if you have the patience. Hell, if you want the challenge, your shotgun class can transform itself from an assault-type class into a stealthy and hidden class. Camoflague will help here. Make sure to invest some time into finding good hiding spots on maps. You can do many things with Asylum's bathroom. Don't be afraid to pull out the pistol for longrange shots, either. Get used to a shotgun's range. Remember that the Trench Gun has more range, but sacrifices damage, and that the double-barrell has less range but higher power. Currently, I use the sawed-off shotgun (mainly because it's awesome) with Bazooka, Fireworks, and Extreme Conditioning.
March 10, 200917 yr Whoop over took the amount of kills i had in COD4 today with about half the deaths and play time lol. 26k kills 28k deaths in COD4 13 days GP, 26k kills 15k deaths in COD5 7 days GP :-# Oh, and same prestige level (5). 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.

March 11, 200917 yr Imo Grip is a waste of a perk. Even though shotgunning with the trench is so awesome and fun, its not really worth the drop of betties/etc. I mean, its fun and all, but i only really shotgun as a 2nd in overkill. 1HK = epic on places with ladders lol I dont need a siggy no moar.
March 11, 200917 yr Personally myself i find that A great number of shotgguners are idiots.Especially those who use Noobcannon,frag3,sonicboom and martydom.I'm not sayin g that all shotgunners are idiots but the ones i've met so far in COD4 are like this.And most of them are'nt even that good.

I'm nearing my second prestige, so I'll be working on getting that by this weekend. With spring break coming up I should be able to get pretty far into my second prestige. Seriously, some dude must have had some hack or software hack, because every time i got close to him and started shooting, he shot like 3 times and got headshots ALOT, with an mp40.. again. I am seriously over it. Until this game gets something done about this crap I'm considering snapping the disc. I dont need a siggy no moar.

It had everything; -Campers-Easy to deal with... just throw a grenade -My team = idiots-Really only get bad teams about 1/40 games.. far to rare.. -MP40 [bleep] (3/4 of the other team were mp40ing, and 2 on my team were mp40ing)-Easy to beat a mp40 if you have skill.. if you jsut stay in same spot and fire then any half-decent player can kill you :roll: -Absolute bullcrap grenades (going into the places right but never killing)-Cook em -All bazookas missing and only slightly hurting a person-Dont use em, betties are better, jsut go to where ever they are -Betties not killing anyone-Get better at placing them...very rarly do betties go off and not kill the person who set them off, unless they went off because they were shot or a grenade set em off -Other team eventually camping with almost unlimited betties shoot the betties, use other tactics to kill them... -Team doing absolutely nothing-one again, about 1/40 teams are completly useless -Wait and kill team- good situation tbh, they wont die as much if they have no skill and need to camp.. then you can grab tons of kills because mosly teams stay spread out and if you have any skill you can kill sooo much more.. -Wait and kill opponents.- easy to kill.. just use grenades and better tactics.. or snipe them -Continuously lame maps-not to bad.. but not much to change there -Nerdy hackers, lol. Seriously, some dude must have had some hack or software hack, because every time i got close to him and started shooting, he shot like 3 times and got headshots ALOT, with an mp40.. again.- NO he just has skill.. which you don't have.. apparently just because you want to snipe dosn't mean you can... this game is about adapting to what the other team does and if you just go back to the same sniping spot every time, you will die ALOT either get good at sniping or pick up a SMG XBL gamertag: SeismicTriangle

I'd like to comment on a few things though. With a bazooka, remember that there is a drop in the missle trajectory, as there should be. Aim higher. MP40 "hack" is just him being good. MP40's recoil is up, and it is a well know thing to aim at the middle of the chest, and the 2nd shot will recoil up to the head. You have to be a good aim to do it, but if you can, apparently you will be good enough for people to think you are a hacker. Teammates: Yeah, they suck sometimes, but it works both ways. You play against sucky people as much as you play them. Maps: Erm... not every map has to be a sniper map. Sure, I'd like a few more, but I'm content with what we have. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree.
