Worst Slayer Tasks

Featured Replies

Alright i am wondering what Tasks are the worst TASKS in slayer....

From level 70-85

I know this belongs most likely in "Help and advice", but i think that everyone has diffrent oppions on it. So maybe this can be a discuession, either way if you want to move it feel free.

So go ahead everyone, tell me your 4 tasks that you hate and why!

On topic:

Black Demons - only task I blacklisted

Others that are distasteful, but still worth doing for variety instead of blacklisting include:

Warped Terrorbirds

Black Dragons

Hellhounds

Scarabites. Falling in a pit trap with 40 hp left (although my ring of life saved me) isn't really pretty.

High-number steel dragon tasks. they seem to take fooorever

Kalphites. Way to crowded

Goraks. They hit hard and are a pain to range

I haven't blacklisted yet though.

Scabarites have to be one of the worst tasks ever

patr1ckotg1.png

Steel dragons- to hard and not many, real slow

Mithril dragons- never done but probably not ready for yet.

Water fiends- Tried them last night for first time, forget it, i hate dual attack monsters

Warped terror birds- Using chime stinks on them, multi attack also is terrible.

hellhounds

wkeletal wyverns

steel dragons

kalphites, alothough i wouldnt ban them

My blog

Maxed CMB, 99 summoning/construction

I personally don't like

Scabarites, black demons, steel dragons. I haven't done Goraks yet, so I don't know about them, but I love skeletal wyverns, and warped terrorbirds aren't that bad. As for Iron dragons, I don't think that they would be as bad as steel dragons since there are alot more of them.

Greater demons, Scabarites, Wrapped Terrorbirds, Gargoyles.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

Black demons, Black dragons, Steel dragons and Hellhounds are the tasks i have blocked, but that's only so because i can not get terrorbird nor scarabs tasks.

First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.

First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.

First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.

Steel dragons (not enough spawns, irons and campers get in the way, uber def)

That's the only task I'm sure about. I'm probably going to block wyverns due to the slowness and need to bank, but I'm not sure yet. I'm considering hellhounds and greaters too... great tasks but just too crowded.

Just to clear up a few misconceptions:

Black Demons - Huge xp, awesome crimson drops, and rune drops *do* pay for p pots. No reason to ever not do this task.

Warped terrorbirds - Chiming is annoying, but you once again get massive xp and p pots are covered. They have very low def.

Black dragons - Meleeing baby blacks in the chaos tunnels is very fast slayer xp, and decent prayer xp. Or you could solo KBD which is great fun.

Scarabites - Cannoning these below Sophanem is some of the fastest slayer xp in the game and the 3rd fastest way to get crimson charms in the game. If you do it correctly you take very little damage.

Kalphites - Not as crowded as people think, you can always resort to a low population world without making them a bad task.

Goraks - They are cannonable and superbly fast xp.

Mithril dragons - A very quick task, with the potential for massive profit. Fun too.

Waterfiends - Second fastest crimson charms in the game, with bunyip you need no healing.

Gargoyles - Not nearly as bad as people generally think of being, they're profitable and the xp is fine. Plus hawt blue charms

STOP BANNING GOOD TASKS!!!

i used to hate terror dogs, then i got 2 g helms in a row and now i is happy

Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle.

My blocked tasks will be Kalphites, Steel Dragons, Hellhounds and Scarabites.

My blacklist:

Skeletal Wyverns; pain to get there, pain to kill them

Warped terror(bird)s; very annoying, tried once, won't try again

Steel dragons; only few spawns, very slow to kill and irons + campers lurking around

Hellhounds; not that bad in wild or gwd, but very boring and slow

Occasional cancels:

Gargoyles; annoying rock hammer thingy, very slow task even in chaos tunnels

Rsn: Onauric Combat: 136 Total: 2150+

All quests done since: 3rd December 2005

Greater Demons

Hellhounds

Kalpets are very easy, the workers that is. u can kill 50 of em in around 5-7 min, you should reconsider that dude:O

Or if you're rich, just break down and cannon them.

I haven't done slayer in quite a while (*cough*ftp*cough), but from what I have slayed, I'd consider:

Steel dragons: takes forever to kill, only 4 spawns, irons get in the way time to time.

That's really about it. Of course, it's not like I can ADD anything else. (have yet to try)

Need a new signature....perhaps...

aberants - just don't like em

kalphites - lousy drops, too crowded, cannon noobs.

metal drags - long distance from bank, supplies, too crowded if you're doing steels.

ankovs - other then clues they drop nothing, also long distance from bank

blk demons - aggressive, high hits, and high hp.

warped beasts - lousy drops, crystal chime requirement, and long distance from bank.

They're right next to a bank if you use spirit tree to teleport to grand exchange...

Once I max melee (95 Strength, last to go), I will cancel black demons until/unless the drop list is improved. They're an awesome melee task with a godsword, and in the Chaos Tunnels you can "safespot" so you're only attacked by one at a time.

Suqahs have poor drops, are too remote (unless on lunar), and have multiple attack styles in a potential multicombat area. They will probably also go.

Jungle horrors are no longer assigned by the top tier slayers, but are worth cancelling due to their terrible, terrible drops, plus the effort required to reach them in the first place.

Re: other people's cancel lists:

Steel dragons are crowded, and if that's your main concern it's a decent cancel.

Kalphites are worth canceling if you don't use the missions for KQ slaughter; their drops are terrible and they are a dull grind unless you cannon them.

Aberrant Specters have an excellent drop profile overall -- high-priced herbs and herb seeds, adamant platebodies, lava battlestaffs, key halves, black mystic bottom, and loads of good charms.

Gargoyles, like Specters, have a good drop profile -- adamant boots, granite maul (had two back-to-back in one task), and black mystic top, as well as being a higher-frequency blue charm dropper.

Scabarites have one very good killing spot, nice drops, and can be a quick task if done right.

Warped Terrorbirds have excellent drops which can make the pain of dealing with them worth it.

Ankous have multiple stacking drops and for that reason alone should be kept and done always.

Obviously your list of hated tasks depends on your priorities. I prefer the monsters who generally speaking drop good stuff; others may just have too high an annoyance factor with how hard certain monsters are to kill, including additional required gear. Others still may just want to avoid the huge crowds that mass at popular, easy creatures.

Personally I blacklisted Abbarent Spectres(sp?) because I'm not high enough level to melee em effectively yet, and dont have slayer helm to cannon them.

I also always cancel red dragons, but besides that I really dont mind any other task.

How do people not like black demons though? They're reallly good xp

Exactly my choice, I love every other task, they are either great exp, loot or just fun to do!
