No, people just don't like that they can't use prayer against them. Actually have to eat food and pay attention. I find their ability of dropping a random skill 1 point every time they inflict damage to be very negligible as well. Oh no, they dropped my crafting from 77 to 71, what will I ever do?! :x

I can almost AFK them with Guthan's+Whip. Boost prayers still work.

At peak hours I just go to GWD to do bloodvelds.

 

 

 

You can cannon them also at the blood altar I think, but I never did the necessary quests.

Eh, I wouldn't consider that to be AFKing. I'd say AFK should be at least a minute for it to count.

If you've done the quests to unlock them :roll: .

 

At the moment all the ones in the slayer tower are being camped (due to the increased number of slayers), the ones in the GWD are too spread apart which leaves the mutated ones which require a load of quests to access.

 

 

 

Like I said there a great task there just busy as hell atm.

Blocked tasks:

 

 

 

Irons: Long way to get to, take a long time.

 

Aquanites: Rather crowded, [cabbage] drops, hit a lot.

 

Hellhounds: extremely crowded.

 

Greater demons: Always crowded, and they just seem to take forever.

 

 

 

Cancelled tasks: (If I could, I would block these, but not enough space, and I get these less often than the above.

 

 

 

Mithril drags: I cba to gear up to kill 4 dragons.

 

Steels: worst task in game. Period.

 

Wyverns: Take a long time, far from a bank.

Wyverns are actually pretty good if you have a pony. The tasks takes an hour (for max amount) or less praying just piety, and it's about 90 crims/hour. :)

As he said irons are more common than steels. From all the tasks I've had, I probably would say the iron:steel ratio is about 3or 4 to 1.

Personally, I wouldn't block Greaters and I wouldn't cancel miths or wyverns. Greaters are good xp for me, although the wild dogs aren't aggressive to me anymore. They aren't THAT crowded. I'd have to hop 3 times at most, and those are 4 minutes I'm willing to spend for the xp that greaters give.

 

 

 

Miths are a fast 10 minute task. It's a nice diversion and it's fun for me.

 

 

 

Wyverns aren't that bad. I cannon them with piety so it goes by fairly quick for me. Nice crimson charms also and the drops are pretty good.

I have permanently blocked only one beastie so far: Hellhounds. Umm, what is the point of them? They drop gold charms and little else, they're usually crowded, they don't have a good xp ratio.

 

 

 

I have skipped Black Demons when I've just had too many of them in a run. I would skip Kalphites for the same reason, although with cannon and 500 cannonballs supporting melee I can knock off 150+ in about 45 mins while still collecting all coins and alching every drop above steel scimitar. The collecting and alching make the task a bit less of a grind, and mean I'll get 50,000 gp to offset the cost of the cannonballs.

 

 

 

I've only had one Steel Dragons task and had no trouble - not too crowded, good drops, came out around 200,000 gp ahead. I was relaxed and just waited for one to respawn over and over, though; I know if you try to run around that cave to hunt them you'll get diverted by the Iron Dragons, so that factors in.

 

 

 

I haven't tried Warped Terrorbirds or Tortoises yet. I'm about to try Skeletal Wyverns :)

^Skeletal Wyverns are a hellish task and are best to be put on the block list. I really do hope you try out slaying warped terrorbirds, I average around 400k of loot from them per task. They drop so many stackables and you usually see 2 or 3 rune drops too. Just remember to pray range and attack the two lone birds at the end of the first hallway, hug the railing on the south side of the room and you'll only have 1 attack you at a time (if you decide to melee them).

I only have doubts over the Gargoyles. I hate them, but I wonder if I'd get them often as I am 88 Slayer. Perhaps it's better to skip them and use the spot for Suqahs or so.

Steel Dragons - Waste of time, as the level <80 rangers or magers hugging them.

 

Gargoyles - Just annoying with the hammer etc

 

Hellhound - Crowded, no good drops and drops gold charms mainly

 

Wyverns - Tried them once, looked too hard or just wrong setup.

Greaters - Crowded and somewhat annoying

 

Kalphites - Crowded and the experience isn't that good, although cannon helps a lot

ATM, I hate my current task, Waterfiends. I dont care about charms, killing and exp is too freaking slow and with 95 defence they hit 11's with the range attack now and then. its absurd. :|

It looks like I can do Skeletal Wyverns by praying Chivalry and eating monkfish, although it's slow going. Thanks for the advice on Warped Terrorbirds, they seem to be one of the monsters that are good once you know how.
