Great fun! I recommend it to anyone with nothing better to do.

I have been doing this for a lil while and its just hilarious how long people stay!

I pretended to be part of the KKK and the westborough baptists. The person stayed for 40 minutes tryingto convince me how cruel I was. HILARIOUS.

On a serious note can people teach me how to like..

learn not to laugh?

Like buddhists and the like can do random crap to not feel pain and all this.

For some reason I can prevent feeling pain to an extent but cant not laugh at something funny..

Try thinking about something serious in your head like dying, that's what I do when I laugh at wrong times, I think "THIS IS SERIOUS" and then I just stop laughing. Or if that doesn't work I dig my nails into my body.

I'm not here to ask for advice or give advice (GTFO the thread then!) but in a way I think I need to come back here just to say something.

A while ago (I can't rememeber exactly when) I came here looking for advice and I got some. I followed the advice and it worked a dream.

So in a way this is a thank you for making me realise that everyone starts somewhere. When I asked for advice I hadn't had a single girlfriend, and now that I've had one, I've had a few. They sort of just fall into place once you've one

But yeah, I also hadn't kissed a girl before, and obviously now I have.

So yeah, this a thank you to all you guys who actually bothered to answer my questions and sort me out. And it's also a reminder to all those people who are in my situation right now. Just because you've never had a girlfriend doesn't mean you never will. As cliche as it sounds, you just have to wait for your moment, and when it comes, grab it.

It just like "Practise Makes Perfect". Sounds like a load of rubbish but it's 100% true!

So yeah, thanks guys and keep up the good work

Okay, what do you guys think of long-distance relationships? There's a girl I really like and she moved to Queensland (and I live in NSW...). We keep in contact, but I'm not sure whether or not a relationship would work. She was a good friend as well, but I believe she liked me. And, there are no guys she likes around her area ;) opening, but I'm not sure what for. I'm nearly 15, by the way.

disturbeda.png

15? I vote no. You can't drive for a year (or is it longer in Australia?) and from what I know of Australian geography (not a lot) that's quite a ways. If you're able to see each other often, it'd work fine, but considering it's unlikely you'd see each other at all, you might as well find a girl that lives closer to you.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Well, most of this threads users will say one or more of the following:

1. It won't work

2. You're 15, it can't work

3. Long distance relationships are tough, and usually end badly

4. Depends how big the distance is

Personally, I wish you luck with it. I believe in ideal condtions, theu can work. But be forewarned that it probably won't be a very long term thing. Most people ask what the point is once they realize that.

I'm 16 years old. I've never really had any friends or been in any kind of relationship and didn't care until recently. Now I'm kind of in an awkward position. I won't see anybody until school starts again (early september). Until then, I'm kind of stuck at home. I've kind of been branded as a loner by my peers. Should I try to do something to try to change the way people think of me or just give up on ever having a "normal" relationship? I really have no clue how the "getting a girlfriend" thing works. Any advice on what I should do would be appreciated.

Try talking to people, be social.

Try talking to people, be social.

It's not that easy for people who aren't used to being social.

So you have some friends?

Well now is your chance, but your time is running low. Summer is a great time for self-improvement without the awkward transition phase being in plane sight of your peers. If you come back to school witha smile on your face, all you have to do is act like your thrilled to see everyone you see. Talk to people, wave at them. Make them feel welcome and comfortable near you. Friends will come in time. You may even impress a few ladies with the way you turned around your life ;)

Depends where in NSW you live, and where in Qld she lives. Trust me when I say it's best just to let her go.

Try something like what my friend did, he just started wearing a beanie and sunnies all the time, now all the girls started talking with him. Might be better for when school has started though.

ABC, join a Youth group. I don't go to one, but mu ex-girlfriend does, and she has a great time there, and meets loads of people, most she hangs out with besides when they are in the group.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Long distances only really work if you're old enough to have access to regular and easy transport to go see them.

Personally, at your age, even if you did, i still wouldn't advise it to be honest.

It's not a nice feeling if you're going out with someone and you keep thinking how far away from them you are, and they cant be there for you spontaneously if you really NEED them in certain situations.

Wait, you aren't even going out yet? :? Mmm...Basically it's just a name if you go out with her, and there are plenty of other girls out there.

All right, I'll try some of that, thanks

Edit: I know it's kind of off topic, but what kind of clothes should I wear? What should I try saying to people? I've never really talked to anybody and I don't think anybody knows me :/

Well it's difficult for me to guage quite what you mean "I've never really talked to anybody", but I'll try to help all the same.

Basically people at your school should be easy to talk to, ask about tests or homework or anything like that, even if you already know the answer, the topic at the start of a conversation doesn't really matter (within reason) as long as it actually starts a conversation. At a youth group ask them what sorta stuff they get up to there normally or how their holidays have been/are going. As long as you can spark a response from them it should be easy from there, you can just talk about whatever they respond to you about, expand on the topic etc. I don't know if I've patronised you here or whether you'll find it useful but there you are. ::'

here's my advice. If you want a girlfriend, do the following:

1. stop getting on the computer every day.

2. Get a social life.

3. Stop playing runescape.

OR

4. Find a chick who plays runescape your age (good luck trying to get them to admit it openly)

5. Stop reading this post and get a social life!

Thats enough for anybody. Oh, and don't be a [kitty]; ask her out dammit!
