August 11, 200916 yr I forgot the most obvious question, and I promise this is the last one (hopefull). Who should I try to be friends with (i.e. what group of people/clique)? I can't stress this enough, if I didn't ask these questions I'm 99% sure I wouldn't have changed. Of course, nothing has happened yet, but I definitely know what to do when the time comes. Thank you so much :) YouTube

I can't stress this enough, if I didn't ask these questions I'm 99% sure I wouldn't have changed. Of course, nothing has happened yet, but I definitely know what to do when the time comes. Thank you so much :) Well, what do you like? What is you into bruh? You like sports, you really into video games? What kind of music do you like? The only groups I would avoid would be preps and emos. And since I can se it now, "Why stay away from emos?". Because most emos are just kids who used to be preps untill they decided they would look cooler in black, they look different but act just as two-faced.
August 11, 200916 yr It doesn't matter too much who you try to befriend. I would be wary of popular kids/jocks though, they tend to be manipulative and shallow. Not all of them are like that though. I'd look for the people that tend to carry a presence with them; the ones that, while they don't talk that often, when they do talk they seem mature and intelligent and full of neat stories. You can't really judge people based on what clique they're from. I'm friends with people from all over the spectrum. I've got jock friends, metalhead friends, goth/emo friends, preppy friends, nerdy friends, artsy friends, all the types of friends you can think of. The point I'm trying to get to is there are wonderful people in every group out there and it's hard to say who's a good person until you get to know them. I'd suggest the first week or two of school you lay back and observe how people act and choose your friends based on that. Also, I'm not saying to stay away from the popular kids, just be careful when trying to befriend them. They're the alligators of the high school food chain - cool to look at, not cool to be bitten by.

August 11, 200916 yr There's a name for those faketanned-idiot stereo types: Guidos. The less tan version being called "Chotches" Anywho, regarding ABC, your situation seems to be well handled. You shouldn't stress who you're going to be friends with though. You need to lower your guard a bit and be less judgemental. Being open is key to making friends. Converse with anyone you see, no matter what they look like. You shouldn't really judge people by thier clothes and style, but instead by who you get along with. Can you picture yourself as being a jock? Or a gamer? You shouldn't mold yourself into a stereotype, but it will help make frinds, even if alot of them are tools. Getting a good mixture of everyone takes true talent, but is more than do-able. Oh, and I also suggest making a few decent and trustworthy friends before chasing too many girls. It'll come in handy - trust me. Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. I can't stress this enough, if I didn't ask these questions I'm 99% sure I wouldn't have changed. Of course, nothing has happened yet, but I definitely know what to do when the time comes. Thank you so much :) I'm just gonna give you some advice from the start. The easiest way for me, atleast to start conversations with someone you don't really know is something like this. Let's say you see someone doing something on an iPhone. You could say "Dude, is that an iPhone (they answer). I've always wanted one of those." Then you can ask their name, and work from there. Once you talk to people a bit in real life, get an AIM account, and get other peoples screenames, if talking to people like that is easier for you. IM'ing is not a replacement for real life talking though, but it's not bad for starting. Find a hobby. Video games, paintball, drawing, whatever. Find people with the same hobby. Talk to them about the hobby, eventually move on to other topics. If you're trying to get a girlfriend, when you first get to know her you can talk about school stuff, but if you're trying to flirt with her, talking about academics is usually boring. Getting a facebook couldn't hurt either. Start getting out of the house more. I highly recommend going to concerts, they're tons of fun and if you invite a friend it's a lot more fun. Inevitably there are gonna be some [wagon] who aren't gonna give you the time of day simply because you're not popular, but it doesn't matter. Don't hang out with them. Start conversations and make friends with people who aren't just going to turn on you if anything goes badly. Hegemony-Spain

August 11, 200916 yr Ok, its been a while since I've posted here. Hell, even been on. Well, alot's changed. Me and my parents are cool again. I broke up with my girlfriend because she was cheating on me. Already dated someone else, but I need you all's advice on that. Ok, here is what happened. At the beginning of July, I met this girl named Rebecca. She seemed awesome to me. I was in the FL at that time, so we were texting each other till I got back. Everything was fine, dandy, and amazing. The day after I get back home, I go to the movies with the girl, ask her out, and bam, we're a couple. Everything was going amazing until school started last Tuesday. At school, she just more or less didn't acknowledge me. That got worse and worse until Friday night, she broke up with me. She said this: I'm not happy. I haven't been happy. I'm not over Logan (her ex). I'm in too much pain. I'm sorry. That was the end of the text. Tell me, what am I supposed to think. =/ Excuses are tools of incompetence that builds monuments of nothingness. August 11, 200916 yr Out of curiosity, what do you dress like? I tend to wear stuff like button ups, polos, jeans, bucket shoes and the occasional casual suit, (only in clubs ofc) but I mean I also have a pair of bright green vans, plenty of t shirts, and I sometimes wear a tie with a t shirt for S&Gs etc. Plenty of silver. I have a silver watch, eyebrow piercing, ear piercings, rings, neck chain etc. http://www.hairstylesdesign.com/gallery ... les_01.jpg is about the same as my hairstyle atm. I suppose I dress like what the socially inept guys here would also call a douche.
August 11, 200916 yr I thought the people here were just calling them "douches" out of jealousy. August 11, 200916 yr Ok so I'm 18. From the time I was 12 untill this year I had 0 girlfriends, I had a hook up every now and then but never anything serious. So this February I met this amazing beautiful girl who lives just right down the street from me, I've known her for a while but it's a wierd situation. Anyways, we hit it off right away and we started dating about 2 weeks later. Everything(to me) was going great, I was the happiest i had ever been, literally. So then she starts getting me to goto her youth group...not a big deal, I mean, I'm not exactly a christian but it's whatever. So at her youth group there's this guy named Quencie, and her and him would text every now and then, but I didn't think anything of it because she was always texting someone. Anyways, so about a month into this I've noticed they've ben flirting way too much, and I feel the walls crumbling around me. Sure enough she goes on this youth convention trip over a weekend, comes back, breakes up with me of course. Well at first I just wanted to die, I couldn't understand what was wrong with me, what I did wrong. Almost immediatly she starts dating him, which makes me feel like she never cared anyway. Which honestly she probobly didn't, she was in a good mood when she broke up with me. Anyways at first it was awkward, I really didn't talk to her at all. But then after a few weeks I started hanging out with her all the time and we became best friends, which is a bad way to describe the relationship because we were even closer than when we dated. Regardless, so we stayed real tight all this Summer, hung out every day, I would even sleep with her (Not sexually). So that kept up for a long while, and just recently she break up with him because the whole time he treated her badly. Which kind of made me feel worse, she didn't even give me a second chance, yet she put up with so much from him. It made me feel like I wasn't worth anyones time.. So I thought I stood a good chance of getting her back, but as usual, I'm an idiot. We started hanging out more at my house with my friends, and lucky me! She falls for my best friend.. which makes me feel even more worthless, because all the excuses she gave me for breaking up with me are the same problems he has. I obviously just wasn't worth it.. So anyways they're together now, and I feel like I've lost 2 best friends. Whenever I'm around them I get the sharpest pain in my chest, it's unbearable. I'm holding back tears constantly just thinking about all of this.. I don't understand why i waited 6 years only to be crushed, why would this happen to me? Why would the most perfect situation come around just for me to ruin it.. I just feel like dieing, she's a diabetic and everytime I'm at her house I have to keep myself from injecting myself with insulin. I don't really need any help because honestly what could anyone do, or say... I just needed to say all of this to someone, I'll post sopme pics of me and her to make it alittle more personal. UPDATE!! Ok I know I've made a few enemys on this thread alone over these last few days, so no one probobly cares to read this but eh..I'm bored :P SOO! We have been talking alot recently and it turns out my friend completely blew it and obviously doesn't know what he's doing. Going out with him has made her realise how much she is still in love with me  . Now I feel like we will last because the last 6 months of us being best friends has made us completely comfortable around each other about anything, I feel like this might be true love. It is amazing to me how I could go from the pits of depression to feeling as happy as I do right now. I really appreciate everyone who told me I was thinking stupid things, you were definatly right. I just want everyone on this thread who feels like things never go right to just remember, GOOD THINGS CAN AND DO HAPPEN! Even when all hope seems lost never give up, I waited 6 MONTHS and I've been rewarded with the love of my life . Updated pic o' us...

August 12, 200916 yr Who says everyone else hates him? You have five people on an internet forum saying they don't like him. From a picture, nonetheless. August 12, 200916 yr Okay, what do you guys think of long-distance relationships? There's a girl I really like and she moved to Queensland (and I live in NSW...). We keep in contact, but I'm not sure whether or not a relationship would work. She was a good friend as well, but I believe she liked me. And, there are no guys she likes around her area ;) opening, but I'm not sure what for. I'm nearly 15, by the way. Well, most of this threads users will say one or more of the following: 1. It won't work 2. You're 15, it can't work 3. Long distance relationships are tough, and usually end badly 4. Depends how big the distance is Personally, I wish you luck with it. I believe in ideal condtions, theu can work. But be forewarned that it probably won't be a very long term thing. Most people ask what the point is once they realize that. I am good friends with her, we talk on msn often, but I reckon we'll just stay as friends. The distance? If you look up a map of Australia and have a look, it is quite a fair distance. She lives in a small town just west of the GDV and I live on the east side of the GDV, in Sydney. I'm absolutly fine with been just friends anyway, and had decided a bit after posting that we should stay friends. I wish she didn't move away, but that's life I guess :? thanks for responding.

Glad that's sorted  Yeah, he might not attract the type of girl you want, but he gets the ones he likes (dare I say [bleep]?). Most of Iamdan's advice is geared towards getting popular, pretty, wealthy girls. Keep that in mind. You mean high value girls with standards? \ Personally I don't believe in [bleep]s. imo it's just an insult girls use to lower each others values to raise their own. Sex as a choice isn't a logical thing most of the time, it's just based on emotions which people have very limited control over. Better looking girls are hit on more often, so they have a wider selection of suitable guys. Girls who consciously go out of their way to sleep around are the exception, but I don't think there is a huge amount of them.
