Yeah, I can't just act like an idiot, I'll end up seeing her again (lots of mutual friends) and that's not an attitude I want to carry out forever. I thought Lent's post was advising not to do that.

It's lame. If you're not going to see her until Thursday then I don't see the harm in continuing to be with her until then. Not like it'll make a difference other than having it on your mind. Just occupy with things and you won't think about it :P

3) Short hair looks good on me, but so does straightened long hair [so yes, i need to find a qaulity straightener]

4) School sponsored shirt that fit well. I agree that it doesn't stand out very well. but I'm not one to wear button downs or anyhting like that.

5) Light shirt with dark jeans. Got it.

6) "orange thing" on my wrist stays. It's a silly band given to me, and it actually starts a good amount of conversations [ex: OMG what does yours turn into! Can we trade? ]

7) acne sucks, but it's mostly razor burn. I gotta buy some more shavng cream.

8) despite my slendor physique, I am actually pretty well cut muscle wise. not much substance [working on that] but it looks very pleasing when i flex.

9) my primary shoe is black converse in "eh" condition. Could be better, could be worse, my work shoes are dress shoes that look mad good with a suit get-up

Fit doesn't matter, wearing a shirt you got at school on a night out looks cheap regardless. Even a blank t-shirt would be better (if layered).

And I've been thinking about the watch thing. I have a cell phone, so I rally don't need the time piece, but I always figured I didn't need a watch to make my already thin wrist look like a pencil. Agree or disagree?

I wouldn't recommend blowing your money on a watch if it's just for that purpose... it doesn't really "set you apart"-- it's not like watches are uncommon or anything. Furthermore, I don't think any girls are gonna see him looking at his watch and go, "Wow-- he's looking at his watch instead of his cell phone! He's so different from all the other guys! How attractive!"

 

Cool jacket > Cool hair > Cool shoes. If you're gonna change something about yourself, change one of those... bottom line, don't worry about buying a watch :P I get complimented on my shoes way more than my watch, and my watch is really nice too! haha.

I'd agree with that, I've been noticing shoes more lately as well, and on top of that my boat shoes have been getting some attention from the ladies as well.

 

I've heard is the first thing a girl looks at is the kind of shoes you wear... Choose wisely as for what goes with what you're wearing. Like your converse would go well with the dark jeans and the light shirt, but these boat shoes look much better with a pair of light jeans or khaki's. It really depends on the look you're going for.

 

I'm getting close to my tip.it based Lent taught fashion graduate haha. I'm definitely starting to notice more trends and what looks good/what doesn't type of stuff.

So I think a friend of mine likes me. It's quite complicated though. She shares a lot with me, and I comfort her through a lot of things. Recently she told me about her first real "crush" of sorts and how much she admired this person and everything about them. She says all the things she likes about this person. The thing is, the things she says about this person could also be applied to the friendship I have with her. Also, she has made comparisons between me and this other person. She has been rejected by the other person, but they still maintain a very close friendship. So, lots of reasons to suspect she does. Tonight, she stops by and we talk a bit about our day. She seems like she wants to say something, so I stay quiet. After looking down for a while, she gives me a look and we meet eyes for a minute. After breaking eye contact, she asks me what I thought her look was saying. To me it seemed like her look was saying that she had something to say, and that she saw something that made her happy in me, but I didn't want to say that, so I just downplayed it a bit and said I don't know. After some more silence and her seeming like she wanted to say something, she gets up saying she needs to go to bed. Finally, I say that she looked like she needed to say something. She then gives a cryptic response of something like "I often feel that way around you, my mind wants to say something but my mouth won't say words. You seem to make people feel that way sometimes. Its kind of like that line from Cars [the Disney/Pixar film]: I create feelings in others that they themselves don't understand." She then continues on her way to bed.

 

So I don't even know... We'll see what happens. I don't want to push her on the subject and end up feeling completely stupid when it turns out to be something completely different, but who knows.

 

At the very least it takes my mind away from my ex, who goodness knows I need to give up on but can't shake.

This works for me:

 

1) Shave right after you shower.

2) Always use hot/warm water when shaving.

3) Use lotion/moisturizer on your face right after shave. I realize the best products are more female oriented. Don't be scared to try any. I use Dove skin lotion with their "normal" scent.

4) Shave gel doesn't always work. Dove soaps works magic on my skin.

 

Just remember to try different methods of shaving until you find what fits you best. The way your doing it is obviously not working for you.

I don't like canvas on shoes in general. I only like it on bags now that I think of it.

This girl I've sort of liked for about a month just got dumped by her boyfriend of 4 months. I started becoming friends with her in mid-February, but we still aren't really too close of friends. I mean I talk to her every couple days because she's in band and English with me, and I've texted and imed her a couple times, but we haven't hung out yet, so I don't think I'd be friendzoned (besides the last few people she dated were already friends with her beforehand, so I don't think friendzone is that much of an issue with her xD). Um, about how much time should I wait before making some sort of advance? Also, um, I don't really know how I could do so without it being awkward, because most of the techniques in here are for people you don't know, while I actually know this girl (Bekah for future reference). I don't know if I'm forgetting anything, so if you need more information than this let me know, its late here.

 

Oh also, could I put up pictures of how I normally dress and get some advice on how to improve from you guys? I think I do pretty decently, but I could almost definitely use some improvement xD.
