July 2, 201016 yr Well, if you honestly care, and don't want to pursue a romantic relationship with her, I'd just say give yourself time till you become closer friends. Although, whatever you decide, decide with caution. It's easy to get caught up in these things, especially when it gives you the feeling of "I'm a good person" (that's probably legitimate though). It's not going to be easy if you're going at anything seriously. And make sure to put this somewhere at the back of your head: She will most probably give you a very hard time helping her. From ignoring your, to shouting at you and fighting with you, to other things. Best of luck!
July 2, 201016 yr Why are the girls around here either repulsive or flippin' mental? >.> I don't have the heart to just leave her hangin'. And yes, within the 6 or so hours I was talking to her, I learned alot about her life. Everything from divorced parents to highly abusive boyfriend. And then some. Theres no doubt in my mindshe actually has all of these issues. Which is a shame, cause she's a really nice person underneath the disorder. I want to help her...I just don't want her to think that my constant presense in her life is my way of hitting on her.Something to think about: Helping her is great, but a relationship should be a two way street. A relationship could never function with you only helping her. And if you were to eventually get tired and break up with her.....well that would make her even worse. I know you're not thinking of pursuing a relationship, but just some things to think about if you find yourself changing your mind. July 3, 201016 yr Yeah, so I posted a decent amount of pages back about my best friend, and you guys suggested I ignore her for a week or two. Well, it sorta worked, we are back to our normal relationship status as best friends, and she definitely talks to me a lot more and shows that she likes me more. Now the only problem is her boyfriend. He's really starting to get on my nerves, and I already don't like him due to being my best friend's boyfriend. :P She wants me to be friends with her boyfriend, and he wants to be friends with me. I don't want to, I really don't care for him. Well me and her were messing around and she told me to talk to him and say something about her. So I was talking to him and she said to say something about how much I love her, so, I did, thinking it was all gonna be in great fun. He didn't really respond as I thought he would and told me that she will always love him way more than she will me (which is true and she knows it and that REALLY bothers me) and he has just had a negativity to everything he said. So my question is: Should I try to be harmonious with him and befriend him? If I should, how should I go forth with that? I really don't like him and she knows that, but she wants her best friend and her boyfriend to be friends. #61 Maxim Afinogenov :]It's ok, I'm a Bills, Sabres, and Mets fan...I'm used to disappointment.

July 3, 201016 yr He's randomly starting to spew out crap on how he's dating her and I'm not. Also, he's a male, I'm a male, my animal instinct is telling me to punch him in the face, or call him a douchebag or something. #61 Maxim Afinogenov :]It's ok, I'm a Bills, Sabres, and Mets fan...I'm used to disappointment.
July 3, 201016 yr Yes, try to befriend him. If your best friend likes him, chances are if you looked beyond their relationship, you'd like him too. The first step in my opinion would be to have a talk with him and explain that you're sorry for any negativity that's been going on between you two and that you want to start off with a clean slate again. July 3, 201016 yr It's me at fault here, I just miss when there was no other guys in between me and my friend, it made things a lot more easier. A lot of her guy friends have a big personality and I have a big personality and a lot of times when people like that get together, it can be explosive. This, pretty much. It's the only thing that can be done if you think about it rationally.
July 3, 201016 yr Why would you automatically dislike him because he's with your friend? He's pompous about it, plus, it's different when you have a scarce amount of other true friends and your only true friend is consumed by a guy she met a year after we became very good friends. #61 Maxim Afinogenov :]It's ok, I'm a Bills, Sabres, and Mets fan...I'm used to disappointment.
July 3, 201016 yr I think you have a to make a choice. Either you become friends with him, or you keep being childish and your friendship with her will suffer. Life is like that, sometimes you have to find a compromise and suck it up. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. He's pompous about it, plus, it's different when you have a scarce amount of other true friends and your only true friend is consumed by a guy she met a year after we became very good friends. From what you've said, all he did was get a bit defensive when you told him you love his girlfriend. He hasn't done anything wrong, just because you don't have many 'true friends' doesn't mean they have some sort of obligation to be around you a lot because of it  Do have romantic feelings for her? If she dumped him and threw herself on you, would you just go with it?
July 3, 201016 yr I don't know about romantic feelings. Though, every other freaking week I have to comfort her because he does something wrong to piss her off so much she cries all day, they have a mini break up every month or so. Then something magically happens where he's the best person ever again. Speak of the devil, they're fighting right now. #61 Maxim Afinogenov :]It's ok, I'm a Bills, Sabres, and Mets fan...I'm used to disappointment.

The only reason that he is acting like this to you because he feels threatened. This isn't good, you don't want him feeling threatened as most likely he will end up doing something stupid to remove the threat.
