There are two parts to this rant.

 

 

 

1. I'm at Karamja ranging lessers... if I don't kill him in time people run underneath my foe and steel my arrows. Why! Have some decency and let me finish off the monster and get my arrows that I earned you PIG! Otherwise i have to run out to grab my arrows, get hit, and go back.. and guess what!, by then they stole my lesser! BASTARD!

 

 

 

2. I'm fighting my lesser, and a pile of my arrows appears underneath my lesser. Someone thinks he's really nice and grabs my arrows for me. Why? to give them back later. If i wanted you to hold on to my arrows I would tell you. I don't feel like wasting time every few minutes so you could trade my back my arrows. Leave them there I'm not stupid, I can pick it up when i finish off the lesser. Jeez, your not helping, your wasting my time! Use some common sense! Jeeeez.

3. One more thing. Sometimes with the new trading system when they try to give me back my stuff, they end up not being able to becuase of the new trading system. In return i have to give something like a dropped ruby, just to get my arrows back!

Okay the first part is understandable but atill a very common occurance and pretty normal, if not annoying, part of the game but the second part is kinda harsh when people are just trying to be nice, even if there failing miserably.

 

Its part of ranging im afraid maybe you should find something you can kill quick enough so this doesnt happen, if it bugs you so much (insert old scratch head smiley)

Whell buy some law and air runes and telegrab your arrows. That should solve both problems.

Exactly. It's a ranger's nightmare, I know, but ranging is supposed to be limited in this way.

Im guessing hes F2p.

whats ur range lvl 5? pretty sure i was able to lessers at lvl 60 with steels and not get them stolen (f2p also)

 

btw use bronze if you dont want people stealing them since no1 takes bronze :wall:

 

(btw thats means that u used 65+mith, 103+ steel, 230+ iron arrows lmfao :lol: :lol: :lol: )

Trust me... I trained there in f2p from 60-70 range and people WILL steal bronze arrows even.... It is annoying if you're a pure and have to pick up your arrows because obviously the demon will get a few hits on ya but yeah... I don't think Jagex could do anything about this problem ..

Gees man they're only trying to help. And the way you sound, judging from how long it seems to take you to finish a lesser, then your arrows could of been "stolen" or simply of disapeared anyway. Would you prefer that instead than one less uncut ruby or a few moments of time? I mean GAWD...

I'm pretty sure your arrows don't just disappear right when someone deliberately runs over on top of your arrows before they even finish their lesser.

If one day you start killing and you notice a few guys picking up your arrows, just kill them about 2/3s way and pick up your arrows then. You should have enough time to get your arrows back and if they steal the lesser, you still get the drop :thumbsup:

 

 

 

But really, if you can't kill a lesser with steels in that time, perhaps you should find a new spot :roll:

Jagex stated time and again that taking arrows is not stealing.

 

 

 

You have a set period of time during which the arrows are visible to you only. If you want them, go and claim them. (Heh, quoting LOTR, I'm such a nerd.) After that period of time, they're fair game to everybody.

 

 

 

Yes, it can be annoying, and it is rather rude, but that's just ranged. Get used to it, or range something easier to kill, or switch to melee/mage.

 

 

 

As for flaming people who actually try to help you: :roll:.

I almost always use an arrow type that can be quickly obtained. For example, you can easily collect large quantities of iron arrows from the minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. That way, it is not too much of a hassle if people steal your arrows. Furthermore, most people are not likely to bother stealing iron arrows, which are pretty much worthless on the GE and in the shops.

My range is 46 and i use iron arrows. Secondly they are not helping they are merely wasting my time. And yes I am polite, I'll say thank you, but could you please leave them their until I can pick them up myself? And it only makes me mad when they don't listen.

I have to agree a bit with the author. The second group of people, the 'arrow collector helpers' are one of the most infuriating people I have come across. Do you know how many of these people I have met who fail to mention they are collecting them to 'help me' until I casually ask them if I can have my arrows back. I don't have a massive problem with people picking them up before I do because I am lazy and cannot be bothered to waste the time going to pick up 2 arrows at a time. However those that are questioned and then tell me they were picking them up for me are fooling nobody. At what point were they going to mention it to me, when I next log in? xD

 

 

 

I much prefer the obvious 'arrow stealers' who happily take them than those who really want to take them but lose courage when I speak to them!

If you can't afford to lose 30 gp arrows, then use cheaper arrows.

 

If you can't kill a lesser Demon before yor arrows appear to others, then you shouldn't kill them. Kill something easier. Kthxbai

And you...Are confusing...Arer you calling the author an arrow thieving hippy, or are you calling those people such? Either way, don't call people hippies. It's degrading.

 

 

 

I use bronze arrows, at level 52. Honestly cheap, no big losses, and I still get up levels, and I also have minotaurs for irons at the SoS. When I'm P2P, I have Ava's accumulator. I suggest if you're P2P, get that. If you're F2P, get cheap arrows, ask people not to pickup your arrows, or find a less crowded world with few people at lessers. Either way, good luck.
