Today was interesting. I was working a a massive huntsman decides to climb down in front of me while I was driving. So I punched the thing. He died immediately, and unfortunately won't be able to tell the other spiders to leave me alone.

It's a good excuse for an annual match between the two best sides in international rugby league. You can take ANZAC, so long as you leave that fixture. :P

My lecturer today said that all people have gotten chlamydia at least once by the time they're 25. Well I'm 23 and I haven't. Almost sounds like a challenge if unprotected sex wasn't so hazardous and irresponsible.

Almost as good as my sociology professor claiming rape was justified because it was nature's way of ensuring human survival.

From a purely evolutionary point of view, he's correct.

I never said we were dying out a whole. Thankfully the religious are really well designed to prevent that ("be fruitful and multiply", condoms/the pill/pulling out is the devil's way to ruin society).

Please stigmatize religion more you sadist atheist@@@@@

All joking aside, seriously, that's such a generalistic approach it's almost disgusting.

Firstly, the "be fruitful and multiply", if I remember correctly, is a Christian "indoctrination" not regarding other religious views. Additionally, just as much as "religious" people may be fruitful and multiply, others (nonreligious people for lack of a generalization) are just as capable of [bleep]ing up and not pulling out, usually resulting in procreation, as well. So. Yeah.

I like that I have been back long enough to have been here when the people who are coming back to poke their head in like (Bows) left in the first place.

Whay did no one ever tell me about Wasteland servers for Arma II? You know I don't just magically know these things, people need to keep me in the loop. Screw DayZ, I watched a vid where the guys first ever time in wasteland ended with him on a roof in Elekro as an independent while a team rolled into town with a wheeled tank escorting a Hummer. He died when they found out he was there and they distracted him while they got another sniper into a position that could hit him (the tank made a good effort too).

The second video is a live stream where the group is cruising down the road in a turreted Hummer and a fighter jet goes roaring past them. It flies back and fourth a few times (enemy team flying it), and then it freaking buzzes them full out, nearly hitting the turrets, and so close to the road it is throwing up dust.

A little while later, the live stream group has formed a freaking convoy out of their team using local chat, and they are just rolling down the road with 4+ vehicles (this happens a few times).

I've also seen a group numbering over 10 holding the airstrip, and attempting to respond to an attack by launching a helicopter gunship (it gets shot down).

Vehicles are common, quality weapons are obtainable, and most people are on red or blue. Once I clear exam season, I need to try this.

To be clear, my major gripe with DayZ is other people. I don't like the slow grind to collect decent gear, with the ever present fear that I am going to be shot any second. It's the same reason I will never play EVE online, just too much investment to be losing it all without notice. If players are going to be the biggest threat, then I want guns and trucks too. This is also the first entirely PVP oriented game I have ever really wanted to play, aside from a recreation of goldeneye I have on steam (and it's a pretty good spiritual recreation). I have a soft spot for vehicle combat.

Yesterday, rode my bike for 40 km's and walked 20 km's. And went to a party and got me drunk on absolutely zero money. Friends (y)

Tomorrow, 2 quizzes. First up, national student's championship in quizzing. My team is a favourite. After that, our own "rough" quiz. Rough, as in after every correct answer a shot of vodka must be taken. And 33 correct answers are required to finish the quiz. Quite a killing, don't you think? :D

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Aced my programming final and don't feel too great about linear algebra but at least it's over with. Now I'm proceeding to spend the rest of my available time studying for physics (tomorrow night) before I finally can be home for the summer. This last one's about to be a doozy though...

Also, my RA had his birthday dinner today with me and some other people from my hall, and we went to a Great Plains Burger Company that was pretty close to the dorm. Here I was introduced to two things that changed my life: Salt and caramel sweet potato fries and Captain Crunch Crunchberry shakes. Such a glorious, glorious dinner.

Oh, and the new Frank Turner and Streetlight Manifesto albums are absolutely glorious.

Are you a sophomore computer science student too?

The person who I'd say craves attention most out of all the friends on my Facebook feed just posted a status about how "Facebook Famous" people should do one.

Much jealousy, this one has.

Becoming facebook famous is as simple as looking like you're in a band or looking like you've slept with a band or two.

Either way, pulling out is a horrible contraceptive.

I laughed waaay to hard! Hahaha.

And damn. I had my post typed and hit back space to quote those... Don't browse while intoxicated.

Found out today I've got my old house back for a few weeks to myself starting Sunday. Having my sounds systems back, I'm sooo excited. After that I'll be flying to Florida for a few weeks to see my family.

Also started on a new design for a website for Aclaim. This is what I came up with today:

2HTm1.png

It's not much as of yet, but I have the transitions working (it'll be a one page website - and jQUery transitions don't seem to work when tables are involved), have the scripts working (partially thanks to MageUK, :)), and all of the slider/carousels.

Well, now I am I suppose, just finished my freshman year as a computer science major haha.

Had my last final tonight, in physics (electricity and magnetism); Class is probably one of the hardest ones I've taken, but I feel like I did fairly well on the midterm. I'm really hoping I scored the 20/25 I needed to make an A in the class and 4.0 this semester haha.

Also, just had probably the best last night up here at college for the year that I could've asked for. Just chilled and drank with my two closest friends here and had 4.5 hours of deep chats. I'm going to miss them a lot, but I'm also excited to finally come back home for the summer tomorrow.

So I'm sitting here on an almost flat phone because I struggle to sleep when not at home while my girlfriend has spent most of the day asleep and is still worn out enough to be out cold faster than I could check to see if her phone was charging for her.

Yeah,I definitely could have worded it better. Not all religions think this way, nor do all people following religions that view contraception as a sin follow such beliefs. However I am much more likely to find that people with no religious belief are having sex with something to prevent pregnancies.

Took Ammo on two hikes today. Probably about 4 hours in total, one was in a new area I hadn't been too and I really enjoyed that one, minus the fact that the one trail was ridiculously steep and I felt like I was dying by the time I got to the top. But apparently there are vast amounts of trails in the park so I'll definitely be going back to check them all out.

Oh and I stopped to visit the guys at the pet store and somehow ended up buying Ammo a tie. Which in turn led to me spending the rest of my evening doing this:

I'm surprised he let you do that. From my experience with Huskies, I would expect something more along the lines of pawing until everything came off, shaking, and then laying down with their back to you for the next 15 minutes until you were forgiven

The tie was no problem. He has two different collars so he's used to me having to put things around his neck. The glasses were a little more tricky. He wanted to paw them off so I started by putting them on his face and quickly saying "Yes! Good boy!", taking them off and giving him a treat. I did that a couple times then he would sit still long enough to keep the glasses on while I gave him a treat. Then it was just a matter of timing to get a decent picture |^_^|

Yea, I've always thought people dressing up their dogs was stupid. But I have to admit, it is a lot of fun!

I want to get him ok with sitting in a computer chair so I can have a picture of him dressed like that sitting at a desk :P
