That's not true! Sometimes I post about other things. Like on days I don't work. Such as today.

 

I slept until ~12:30pm and then decided it's time to get up. Now I'm on the internet and listening to/watching baseball.

 

On an unrelated note, I need a haircut.

Kind of debating on changing my display name to Zach. I'd still be the first person to change their name, but I like Bows. :unsure:

Why not? I feel more natural posting as 'Sam' because littleboy was a name I used when I was about 12 signing up for RS.

Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel about using my first name on forums. Plus, Langzor has a 'z' in it. Z's are way cooler than first names.

Actually it feels as though you're closer with the people, since you're on a first name basis. I feel closer to people like Tripsis, Sam, Saru, and Th3 because I know them all by their first name. I even text Saru and I have Sam on my Facebook. :P

 

EDIT: Zach is already in use. I'm on my iPhone and loading up the members search would take forever. If anyone would like to look him up and tell me his post details and last active date? I'd appreciate it. :)

Well, that sure is a bummer. Did this person happen to change their name from something else to 'Zach'?

He hasn't changed his name. My suggestion would be to just add an underscore at the end of your name.

But that looks ugly. :( I'll just stick with Bows I guess. It isn't too big a deal. It kinda sucks, but I'll get over it.

That's probably it, Sam. I wasn't very comfortable with it at first. But after a while I started using Vent and Skype so I started calling people by their first names and they did the same. Now it's natural.

I dunno, I'd find it a little weird if people called me Ryan. But I certainly would take the name in a heartbeat if it had been available.

I agree with this. I think most people feel more comfortable keeping their internet and IRL identities separate. It's not really shyness or anything, it's more that when we were younger we were taught to not discuss personal stuff on the internet, and not discuss Runescape IRL, so it made a sort of reluctance to connect the two.

Besides, if you are on TS or Vent you don't really want to pronounce "n00bkiller64" every time you need to say something.

Giordano/Nick originally but you could tell me about why you chose "Bows" if you'd like.

Because I had a thing for being an archer type in online games I played. A sniper/archer depending on the game type. My accounts name was Bows4life27, then display names on RS came out, and I changed it to II Bows II. which is where my TIF username came from, and it grew to bug me because you couldn't have spaces. So, I changed to "Bows" which o really like now. Though Zach would be just as good. :)
