You can also set your newsfeed to only pick up things relevant to your interests based on status comments and wall posts. it also helps to have more than 100 friends, because the newsfeed primarily seems to give you links and status's

What kind of job?

Well, I have 11.3m in the bank (after fully paying off my mortgage/bills), and 3 days into me being 'rich', I go and re-break my ankle. Apparently the screws that were put in there were of low quality, meaning that I'm gonna be 'forced' into court to confront the guy who fixed my ankle (apparently he's been doing this to other people too, so it's gonna be a joint lawsuit). Back in a wheelchair until I have surgery on my ankle, which should be in a few days. After that, they expect me to be unable to use it for 6-8weeks.

Wow, I thought you were talking about RS for a second there. Any plans to take it all out in $1 bills and have a bath in money?

Well, I'm from vancouver (which, like many parts of canada, doesn't use the 1-dollar bill). Mind you, I have done all I really wanted to do with it (namely buy a decent 600k house, pay for the next 2 years of university). It's kinda weird though seeing as my parents' house (which is now me/my brothers' 'summer house') has all our old memories. Gonna be tough if we do decide to sell it.

Lol, tons of people have tried that same thing, which is why I've had to add 'extra security' to the cash (ie: making it only accessable via pin, photo id, and a special signature). Kinda weird how money does this to people though...my parents die in a car accident, and rather than feel sorry for me/my little brother being on our own, they tell us about their problems thinking we'll help them.

Got job but its a small one. Turns out the IT job is like a off-set of a surveyor company and its small, 1-2 days a week. oh well, at least its some money in my pocket till i find a FULL TIME job. :(

I think I might be starting as a drum teacher next week. Woo. Money + drums = a very happy Rob.

My old hook up is going with my best friend, my date's friend is taking my sister, and I'm short one place to stay once we go shore side. basically I'm just waiting 2 months for the incoming [cabbage] storm.

Speaking of prom, 2 days ago my prom date changed her facebook status to "in a relationship with [some dude]"

um.....wut. Then she's all "oh we're just goin as friends LAWL". Whatevs. There's a cute girl in a class of mine that seems to have taken an interest in me, so I'm now trying to go with that.

I hope prom wasn't too expensive for you or else I'd be pissed. Especially if you thought you were going as more than friends.

Me too, I just automatically assume everyone on the internet is an American male unless something tells me otherwise. Sorry to hear about your parents though.

I walked into my room and got a HUGE waft of [kitty] juice right in the face. I think it's finally time to change my sheets.

 

Also, I got an A in my philosophy of science class... I was expecting a B- since the grades are relative to everybody elses grades and you had to be an intense nerd as a prerequisite to registering to that class. My last final of the semester is Friday, I then get 4 months off to work part time, read, work out, relax, make more juices that apparently waft tons, homygod can't wait.

Managed to track down the number for a job I applied for last week (whom is re-advertising) so going to ring him tomorrow and find out more as it actually is proper pay and full time. In the mean time, What's a good Digital SLR Camera to buy with inter-changable lens for various shots but doesnt cost an arm and a leg? (including on e-bay, looking at you also Sam)

After 4 hours, I am able to do things on my computer again. Got a new CPU for my birthday and bought a new mobo and 8GB ram to go with it. This meant I was finally able to update to 64 bit. Alas, I was having troubles with finding guides to moving Users and Program Files to my other HDD to allow me to at least keep all my Steam games. 5 tries later and I didn't destroy some vital Windows files. Who ever says they've been trying to stop you from [bleep]ing up your computer easily was lying.

 

The easiest way I did it was not editing a registry file, which made the user accounts disappear and so I couldn't log on.

The girl I went with PROM was the same way. We went as friends, then after the prom, we ran a few ICC's before Cata came out.
