Will H
Isnt Runecrafting fighting for the most useless skills in F2P against Crafting? Nope firemaking wins. Yep. You just light camp-fires with different logs, producing a flame that lasts on average no longer whether you use a normal or yew log. I still don't get it. ~ W ~
Lord_Omar_Iv
its always puzzled me since rsc but i always thought that any skill thats destined for f2p should have its guild in a f2p area. but i know jagex doesnt do that and i could care less if they do put the rc guild in f2p or not
Den
Hope the update comes out tomorrow soo we can find out once and for all if it is f2p or p2p. : ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... aznmidget448
I highly doubt ftp will get an update anytime soon. Weve had so much in the past and normally Jagex gives us absolutely nothing. There needs to be a reason for people to join p2p anyways and giving ftp an RC guild wont help with that. For the record, Im ftp.
jettrider
P2P for sure. Anything minigame that nerfs training is p2p, namely Pest Control and Vinesweeper. Not sure why everyone is excited about this one. No one trains seriously using Vinesweeper. This orb game sounds like another lame way of giving people a way to ignore the actual skill. In my opinion, the minigame will give around 3,000 experience an hour. If we're lucky we might get a few body runes to go along with it :) If it does end up being good, it'll be nerfed twice like pc. Although that was sarcasm...I do believe the minigame will be far slower than conventional Runecraft methods; probably about 10k exp per hour. However, it could give a wide range of rewards. Here are some things possible: -Runecraft Experience -New areas/features/shops/respawns of the guild -Soul Altar (doubtful) -A new essence-carrying familiar OR the ability to let certain Beasts of Burden carry some essence OR a way for abyssal familiars to recharge run energy. -Upping essence carried per pouch (likely by only 1 or 2) -Better runes at ZMI, or immunity to the Zamorak monsters there and in Chaos tunnels, or a lower banking price at ZMI entrance. -Ability to use normal essence for cosmics/astrals -Ability to craft multiple runes per essence at lower levels -An "x times-a-day" or rechargeable teleport to altars or the abyss -Free forinthry bracelets, abyssal charms, runes, talismans, tiaras, cash, and rune or pure essence -Runecrafting gloves for higher leveled runes -More lightweight armor or negative weight items (helment, ring, weapon, shield slots all good choices) 2496 Completionist
killerbeer0
Do you think F2P should get nothing at all? Damn right, I pay for new stuff. It'll be P2P because it's going to be in Yanille (that's what I heard). OH S***! He/she/it is back!
atronic92
F2P got a lot of stuff recently, they don't need anything more for a while. It's just like people say, give a beggar a dime and he asks for a dollar. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you."- JAGEX, December 13, 2007
Aruschpler12
F2P should get it only because it's very difficult to get large amounts of xp in F2P. Every other reason that F2P should get it is invalid. F2P doesn't deserve it, but if it helps get levels faster, then we should get it anyways. Deserving and needing are 2 different things. F2P needs it but doesn't deserve it. If its F2P (which I doubt), it should be at least 50 to get it. -F2p'er It's called the "Grand Exchange," and not the "Grand Alwaysatyourservicetodoyourbidding, regardlessoftheneedsofothers," for a reason.107,992 to 99 cooking96,545 to 99 fletching24,699 to 99 smithingI would indeed be happy if someone stopped spreading cancer all over this place. So no, F2P should not get it if it helps level faster. The whole point is F2P is harder than members so more people pay JAGeX. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Stewie_Griffen
I don't see why it would hurt. To all of you "NOTHING FOR F2P" posters, who cares if we get the Runecrafting Guild? Look at the other guilds. Besides the Warrior's Guild and the Cooking Guild range, they're useless. Why would you want it anyways? ZMI will probably be faster anyways. Plus, there's Graahk crafting, the Abyss, all of the runes that give decent EXP. Really, the only F2P Runecrafting updates were Rune Mysteries and the essence nerf. F2P is supposed to be a sample, not a crumb. :P

chaolin
Do you think F2P should get nothing at all? Damn right, I pay for new stuff. It'll be P2P because it's going to be in Yanille (that's what I heard). Fail. Just fail. You call me a troll.. I have 210 posts and I registered over 2 years ago.. Now you have 570 and you have barely been 2 years at Tip.it Nice brain (mods feel free to delete this post along with his flamebait) what the hell is this? word of the day: fallacy a misconception resulting from incorrect reasoning I like that word. pokemama, brando, and Stewie_Griffen, thanks for standing with F2P, this update aside and all. You see, I wouldn't really care if this update was F2P or not other than Rune Crafting is pretty much tied for the slowest skill to raise in F2P. I mean, how balanced is it when I can get 2k+ of exp in one load of swordfish when it takes me half an hour to get about the same amount of rune crafting exp. So, because I'm concerned about this balance, I think that this should be fixed. Not necessarily by the brand spanking Rune Crafting Guild, but by some sort of update. And I bet all the people bashing F2P have never tried rune crafting in F2P for an hour or more so they hardly have any idea how tedious it is. Dire_Wolf
I don't hate F2p but I sure hate YOU for all of your troll-like posts here on TIF. On-Topic: Yes, It is a possibility but I find it very unlikely. Make TIF P2P too then... On topic, doubt it.
Omali
Do you think F2P should get nothing at all? Damn right, I pay for new stuff. It'll be P2P because it's going to be in Yanille (that's what I heard). Heard from who? Your insider in Jagex? I doubt it will be in Yanille as the Mage guild is already there and there's not really much room for anything else. If it's in an existing building, I might say the wizards tower south of Draynor. With this update, they could possibly update the wise old man series (robbing the tower) at the same time.
heehee111
No, f2p will not get it. Do i hate f2p'ers? no. I have been around long enough and seen enough of jagex's updates to know they would not give f2p this.
