fgfuyfyuiuy0
I guess it could be interesting, but honestly, I don't even have the cash to buy a set of paper cups (or the spare time, but that has to do with school and work..)... It might make for a neat trick at parties.. So even if you mess up, most of the people will be too drunk to care. : Yeah. It is time consuming. The trick at the party is the best part because people will be drunk and even if you go mildly fast, they'd be amazed and wanting you to keep doing it. : I <3 Gears of War 2. Rebdragon
Everyone who made a post saying that it is a pointless waste of time: Guess what those posts were? And most of them took longer than 15 seconds to write, just like most posts that are pointless wastes of time... So you waste more time making pointless posts than you would stacking cups. But whatever floats your boat... Congratulations. You have now succeeded in attacking multiple posters without making a point in the process, an extemely weak and exaggerated one at best. There's a name for that, isn't there? [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. Kalphite
I ordered a set of cups in elementary school. I never really got into it to the point of timing myself, but it was a bit of fun while it lasted.

mrpez
i watched that video three times. not because i wanted to - i had to. that is amazing, but the amount of time she spends practicing that might depress me. by the way, i bet i can speed-knock-down faster than she can. sohkmj1
Just to remind you guys (who can be actually be bothered to even do a quick analysis on it - research - etc but no you just say eww it sucks before even looking at the cups) it is impossible or VERY, VERY difficult to actually achieve the same results with paper cups. I did it when i was 9, got a timing of like 2 minutes. And no, I am NOT a nerd, perhaps a little weirder than your average kid but not a nerd. Kenshinjapan
LOL. i used to play those with my baby cousin. i believe there are three ways you can stack them. which goes from 3x2x1 to 4x3x2x1 and you can even make separate stacks. I think one of the main ways is 3x6x3 per stack. Anyways, I always hated the game since it was introduced back in elementary school :D . YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE! Range_This11
I think a lot of the champions come from the tri-state area (Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa) if I'm not mistaken, because I see at least once a month some new record time from a local kid on the Twin Cities news stations. Paper cups are a lot harder to stack faster with as they are lighter and form static causing them to stick. That's why I don't think I will beat my record any further with paper cups ;) I <3 Gears of War 2. fgfuyfyuiuy0
That is sadder than paying for Runescape membership, yes I was a member for one month. Again, I said no more posts saying crap like that. It's been noted that most people think it is a waste of time or 'sad'. It has been posted on the last two pages. Stop trying to get your post count up by posting useless spam that doesn't contribute to this Topic at all. EDIT: What's with the red herring fallacy here? Why are you trying to flame my topic while bringing in a topic about RuneScape membership so people begin to argue about it? I have a timer mat, a regular set, and a mini set. All from ~5th grade. I get them out sometimes, and see if I can still remember the cycle. I usually fail at it though . It's pretty addicting. I ordered my set on Monday, so hopefully it will be here on Monday. Hannibal88
What a monumental waste of time. I suppose that's the genre nerds are used to I suppose, so whatev I guess. I totally agree that this 'game' is pointless, and I could rather spend my time excelling at something worthwhile instead of a pointless stacking of cups game. However, if it floats your boat, then fair play and I don't think I'd be able to do it if I tried. The reason I quoted this guy, though, is that the sig and avatar is awashed with all that 'anime' crap, and that's even sadder than this speed stacking thing. I believe there's a name for calling someone a 'nerd' with that type of childish 'anime' nonsense over your profile - Hypocrite. Rebdragon
Correct. I am a hypocrite in that I do not spend every waking moment of my life being productive, and admitting I am a nerd would not subtract from the hypocrisy. Took people long enough to own me on that one. Good job >_<. If you haven't and insist that it sucks, just don't post at all. On topic: Went to find my cups. found one of them cracked a little at the top. oh well.
