Well we certainly have interesting times ahead. Not sure I completely like the idea, however I don't have to, PvP wont effect me as long as I stay in regular worlds. I'm happy for those who wanted the Wilderness back :D

Also I wanted to point this out and you might want to put this in your first post, you cant loot the body but instead get different drops much like killing a monster. But they promised new high level equipment I think I read 70+ or 80+ but that may just be my imagination.

I'm also pointing out that the 70+ and 80+ armour may also come with 50+, 60+ and whatever else kind of pk armour as well. The armour may not be wearable on non-pvp servers however.

Im worried about how jagex is handling drops now tho. in the old wildie, if you killed someone, they're items were yours, or your pjers. now, when u die your items just lie on the ground till they dissappear? that sounds weak, even though you lose in battle doesnt mean you should go empty handed. getting that new hard hitting gear will be cool, but im hoping you dont need 70 attack aswell as strenght to weild. im sure you'll be able to chose, and some of the new gear will be f2p, and some will be p2p. I intend only to pk on my pure, i use full druidic robes so i hope they dont just let us die and leave our stuff. that would suck. looks like its time to get prayer on him too...

I bet you're right. Most, if not all, of the rwt and content replacement updates have been f2p.

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, I'll at least log in and try it out, even though I'm retired and won't come back, no matter what.

Here's how I see it working:

 

 

 

1. Minigames, Certain (or all) Banks, and paths from certain teleport spots are safe zones.

 

 

 

2. Levels come into play the further you get from safe zones (from 1 just outside, to however high it can go). So no pile jumping newbies in Lumbridge. Lumbridge likely will be entirely a safe zone.

 

 

 

3. The wilderness area becomes free for all (no level restrictions)

 

 

 

4. Dying still means you leave behind a gravestone with all your stuff. However, your killer can now "plunder" your grave for his random reward. Reward is based on your level and GE value of what you were carrying (hmm, more use of Junk Items?).

 

 

 

5. There may be some limits to going from a PvP server to a safe server. I think it should be a time limit based on the last time you attacked someone (not in defense). This can be anywhere from 20 minutes to three hours.

Never really thought about how much I could have beasted in pking or in bounty hunter with or without the ability to use my familiars...but now that this comes out, and now that I am thinking about the potential...getting a bit hyped. :lol:

Ok I'm hoping pures will reform and people will start alching again and well nats will rise from the 220- they are at now and rcing would actually be profitable again. But maybe I'll try some farcasting with barrage and k bow. O ya and 3 item honor pking noobs.

As for where it will be placed, I think it will not mean Lumbridge, banks, the tutorial, boss areas, etc. as they would interfere with the combat activities there too much. However, it will add a whole different strategy to boss monsters, having to fend off players as well.

This MIGHT explain the 22 new worlds I know not all of them will be pk servers but I bet 1 or 2 might become them.
