lol im happy i made a lvl 29 pure now :D

I wonder if you'll be able to attack anyone with any level in these new worlds... :-k If that's how it was, then that would mean pures would be useless.

If im honest i really want to see this, Where will be the safe areas? What will happen if you accidently log onto a PvP world, What will the rewards be and will they be as good as Old style pking? Will the rewards come out of the dying players bank? Or will the rewards be out of jagex's own pockets?

I love the idea of it all, Logging on, Walking outside lumbridge castle, Running from Pkers trying to loot you, I REALLY like the idea of trying to skill on a world like that, Just for a laugh. Like Runecrafting, Will Abyss Pking come back?

This sounds totally great for me, I cant wait to try it out, And i congratulate JaGEx at trying to fix one of the biggest mistakes they've ever made. Maybe Next year we will all be used to it.

Seen a few people talking about the level differences, And I'm pretty posotive somewhere in the article, it said it varies. I believe it said different areas of runescape are like different levels of the wilderness, but this wouldnt have to be binded to have to go up as you go north, they could make varrock be +/- 10, ardy +/- 50, and fally +/- 75, or any other examples like that.. (and yes different for around areas between towns too id guess.

the trick is to balance all of these methods to get 99 and either play real life or train another skill while farming.

YAY! Just like WOW -.-

Meh update. Won't affect me much. Maybe new Chin spot?

Actually it's more like RSC.

In wow, you can only attack people of the opposite faction, and most people don't just go around killing everybody to be asholes. And in wow you can't say "Oh no! that guy is gunna kill me! I had better switch worlds!"

Bank's might or might not be targeted, on one side people need to bank but on the the other it would be a whole new run out dds spec run in thing. Also, I'm sure a lot of people are going to have to get new home worlds or find new skilling worlds, but then again the ones set up by Jagex will be skilling, since w99 is law crafting (I think so) we'll at least be able to stay there.

i dont go to BH much and i didnt really used to be a big pker prior december 2007. i am however really excited about this. its a shame no huge bot armies, i would love to roam runescape on a lvl 5 pure mage pwning bots hehe =]

also i am really excited about the exeperience enhancing items and high level combat items =] looks like these 135 combat levels are going to finealy pay off and il be able to bully little miniclip kids.

People keep saying that Jagex can't see into the future of the game, that they will run the game into the ground. Jagex keeps proving these people wrong. Now I am suprised that they would do this rather than have just applied these rules to the wild rather than create all these minigames. I expect this was never part of the original plan, but Jagex has proven more than once that they do listen and do solve problems. This serves as a great reminder that just because Jagex may not achnoladge stuff for a long time, does not mean they are not working on it.

Of couse, someday Jagex will learn that they can actualy save money by telling us that they are looking for solutions and and what not before they lose many members. That they have not told us about this before now would suggest to me that they actualy have not lost many memberships, at least not enough to make this sort of information public sooner.

I think both sides are at fault for much of the complaining. The players have no patience and/or faith, and Jagex prefers to horde this sort of information (that could prevent people quitting) untill it is due to realease or it is an immenant crises.

Perhaps the ex-Pkers will stop whining now and stop flaming those of us who like skilling, but then agan perhaps not :wall: However, I will be waiting in anticipation of continued whining when the upgrade does not impress everyone :wall:

The proposed upgrade seems to be a mixture of the old RSC Pking system and the RS2 Wildy Pking. If it follows the same ideas as RSC then the safe spots will probably be within the walls of the cities.

A dream come true!

... Not that I cared much for wild pking, but this is something I'd definitely partake in. The only potential issue would be clans controlling cities and whatnot. But hey, that adds some strategy I guess, and it sounds like the point of these other new mini-games. Mobilizing your own army and fighting for territory... now that's what I'm talkin' about.

Should prove good to skillers an merchants.

I don't plan to buy alot of Pk'ing stocks (buying.. other.. things), but since the only skill I really do now is farm, Yay. Pkers need pots (and alot of them). Herblorists need herbs to supply the pkers with pots. And me the farmer gets to make tons off of the herbs. (If what everyone forsees is right, the pots will be in pretty big demand, and if herbs/seeds rise, I have a pretty good stock of grown herbs and TONS of herb seeds ready.. so price rises wont be that bad for now =P)

I'm looking forward to seeing people making giant clans, and ruling over 1 city. (c'mon, we can't say it wouldn't own. Clans that absolutely own a city and war over cities? it might not end that way but would be ownage to see...

I almost fell over when I saw this post.

Before, PKing was all about extreme skills and extreme stats built to kill.

Now, it sounds like anyone anywhere will be able to enjoy PKing because you will be able to get loot no matter what, even if they only bring a dds.

guarunteed they base the wealth on however much the person you kill is carrying, still going to be fun though

it sounds really great! finally a replacement for the old wildy

i can imagine total chaos everywhere and you would have to carry food around to survive going to fally from varrock. as for the level differences i imagine lumbridge would be +1 -1 varrock +10 -10 falador would be something like +20 -20 and so on. there would have to be safespots like banks, ge, respawn points etc etc

as for the reward for killing someone, ill just hope that some items wont go to complete waste. maybe it could be that items that have been pked will go on the ge and the pker gets some cash in their bank or invenotry after their kill

I don't think it would be set up like that. At all. Banks would be safespots. For sure. Cities may be either only players your level or a very small margin. And there would be some system jagex came up with that decides what the level range everywhere else is.

I agree, from what I've seen there is hundrerds if not thousands of superpots hanging around in many people's inventory. It will probably take some time before there's a price hike. Maybe we'll see new pots on pvp worlds.

yes, but remember how many players who expected to quit forever ended up purposely getting their accounts banned.

Boy will they be red in the face when they see their interest coming back with these updates.

I am sure there will be many safe spots in the forth-coming PvP worlds. Banks for instance. I've heard many people say that they will attack their target and run back into the safe spot and will repeat it until they are dead. But I am sure Jagex will add a message like "You may not enter a safe spot while you are in battle". Pretty stupid if they didn't...
