how did this word come across runescape? and why do people take it so seriously? it only means new player! and people call zezima a noob wen i bet they dont know wat it means! jagex shud block this word cu new player (noobs hehe) r saying this waay too much. they dont even no wat it means!!!! if they think it means something bad like a racist word or a swear word the why r they saying it?

Its in every online computer game pretty much, its used as an insult even though half of the people that use it dont know what it means.

First you say people shouldn't take it seriously, then go on to say it should be censored?

People who use the word "noob" are just little kids that are jealous.

I was called a noob in 2001 when I played RSC. Its not new.

Noob isn't the "new" word. It's in every mmorpg, and sometimes real life. :|

 

 

 

Are you a new player, or an inexperienced player? Half the time "Noob" is thrown around to mates just for a laugh, and other's people just insult others with it 'cos it makes them hardcore.

I personally prefer calling them Peeon's. But you can use Noob as well.

Maybe the word 'noob' is much older than we know, maybe it was around from prehistoric times, when cavemen fought over living grounds.

its inevitable, i watched wall-e last night and they're all on the ship and because theyve been in space and sitting on chairs all their life, they have basically no skeleton, i can see it happening in the next 50 years, and its starting on rs, its inevitable.

 

 

 

Scenario, player says New player, so someone says Newbie, then people start saying it, after a while people think, Newb. so that starts off then it gets to Noob, then Nub, then NB, then N.

ye its been around ages, depends on the context used really but its pretty old so is hardly ever really offensive.
