Clan rivalries?

Does your clan have a rivalry or a competition with another clan? Please remember to keep this subtle. This isn't the spot to bark insults to your counterpart.

I don't believe so. A long time ago we had some rivalry's, but the scores where settled.

We had a vendetta with a newly formed clan whose name I cannot speak of due to a treaty that's probably been forgotten by every one but me. The vendetta was really with it's leader, who I believed to be a threat to us in the wild. I organized our forces to crush his clan before it could truly be said to have begun (by ambushing them in the wild whenever we had the chance). This was one of the few times I could be called ruthless, and that is exactly what I had to be; for he expressed his desire to do the same to us if we let him get strong enough.

 

 

 

This was back during the old wild, where you could kill other players and take their loot.

 

And this happened I do believe well over a year ago, before your time. Ask some of the oldest veterans, they may remember our battle. Actually the whole operation went sour (was unable to field any one from MD for the ambush) so I had to rely on allies to do the job. It just took around 5 of us to take out a force that had us outnumbered and outgunned (higher levels than us). Their leadership was terrible.

Well Clan Jaguar had TUF, which was a break off of Clan Jaguar itself. But whenever TA went out together DI would come out of their hole too. It would always be an epic run-in lasting atleast 6 hrs. Di usually won...

It's kinda hard to have legitimate rivalries these days, since you can't really hunt opponents while they're out on random pk's like you used to be able to. Having a few highly contested wars or planned pkri's can engender a rivalry, maybe, but it isn't the same. Just another reason to be optimistic about all-pvp worlds. =P~

 

 

 

When I led CF, there weren't that many clans that we would fight regularly; of those which we did, we pretty much dominated them all. I don't know if it's really a rivalry if it's too one-sided. 8-)

Well we had some members leave to form their own clan, and things were tense for a while, but we kind of try to avoid contact anymore O.o

We have a big rivalry with Divine Forces, with the #1 rank going back and forth between us for a couple of years. We also have rivalries with Violent Resolution and Eternal Honour, partly from their siding with DF in cluster fights. Recently we've had a bit of one with Echo of Silence but they're not really strong enough to compete with us at the moment, so I think it's going to be forgotten due to lack of action lol.

 

 

 

Basically our main rivals though are Divine Forces. We're fighting them in a 3 hour dangerous pkri tommorow (saturday) and it's a really big deal for both clans, with members getting really pumped up and leaders preparing us hard. Whatever the outcome, it's going to be a pretty intense experience, simply from the rivarly. I've always thought rivalries make wars more fun, as they give real motivation to win. :thumbup:

BK vs Gladz is a historic one, since we used to be like best friends, the rivalry probably started whilst we were still allied, interclan diplomacy issues, one thing led to another, BK wanted to break free etc, Gladz say they were backstabbed and so on and so forth. There's still some sour feelings I'm sure, but no one acts on them anymore.

 

 

 

I would refrain from saying there was rivalry with the other clans in the Alliance. I would admit BK left mainly because of Gladz, as well as other reasons, and they couldn't possibly stay allied to everyone else, it would just cause more problems. Although Jagz took it hard since they blame BK for Jagz members joining Gladz to fight us. Some Jagz are still bitter.

I wasn't very active during the days when the problems happened... but I do recall being upset at reading posts by "bk ownz u"

 

He use to publicly mock Jagz prior to BK leaving The Alliance... there were quite a few things that were weird; I don't like dwelling on many things, but I don't remember who "bk ownz u" was... his public posts were disrespectful and very distasteful. I don't know if he was aware of the clans who split off from Clan Jaguar those days, but as an allied leader you'd expect support.

 

 

 

BK fought Gladz in a fun war shortly after you guys left; BK beat Gladz in the fun war... within that month (maybe that week, memory is weak) you guys declared war on Gladz... not including any of the arguments that happened between various leaders which members like me were not involved in, you can't blame us for looking at the overall situation and saying WTF lol

 

 

 

3 times we had mass amount of members leaving for another clan:

 

first: The Unforsaken - rival clan

 

2nd: Clan Europe - Our european squad left to join CE - killed our GMT based members (around time Bk Ownz U use to publically mock us too)

 

3rd: Genesis Dynasty - initially a squad within Jaguars they nearly all left with exception of a handful; occurred within that month before BK/Jagz fun war that's on youtube

 

 

 

we had members leaving for allies over the years but those 3 incidents were truly significant. the amount we lost to allies was nothing compared to those 3...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To contribute to this discussion, Clan Jaguar's biggest rivals were already mentioned in this thread - The Unforsaken aka TuF - clan primarily filled with ex-jagz; I can't recall who led it besides D Mac (old school jaguar leader)

 

 

 

there's a video somewhere of the final mini war between Jagz and Tuf... it breaks my heart watching that video since many of TuF were extremely close to me... to each there own

I think BK Ownz U was a leader back then, not completely sure though as I didn't even know about clans at that time, he was a leader at some point around then though and he did have a problem with some of the alliance, some of the oldest topics in this forum are about the alliance, they're kind of interesting, from like late 05 onwards :D

 

 

 

In my opinion BK v Gladz would be a rivalry if the clans were allowed to act upon it. Unfortunately Gladz have accused us of cheating in our past wars and have also accused us of being NH in the past and so while some Gladz members would like a war to happen as much as most BK members would, the leadership refuse to war us. It is a shame because it could be a quality rivalry :cry:
